"Paging Dr Sam Wilson please report to ER."
Sam came into the ER. "Bed #5." Harriet said
"What do we got?" Sam said
"Albert Peterson." Harriett said
Sam looked at his chart. "Dr Barnes' patient.." Sam said
He went into the room. "Good afternoon I'm Dr Sam Wilson a colleague of Dr Barnes. Can you tell me what happened?" He said as he checked his vitals.
"I don't know I just got here. Where is Dr Barnes?" Alice said
"Dr Barnes is in Dallas for a medical conference. I work in his office I'm very familiar with your husband's case." Sam said
"All I know is that I was called by a friend's husband saying he passed out on the golf course." Alice said
"Okay..we will run tests and I will update you soon." Sam said
"Thank you.." Alice said as tears welled as she went to the waiting room.
Delaney joined her mother in the waiting room when Sam found her. The test results didn't look good. Sam called Bucky to get his medical opinion on the case. Sam took him up to the OR floor to perform a third heart surgery.
Just as they were about to start closing up Albert's heart rate began to slow down. They did everything they could to get it up. But his heart was just to weak to stay strong. Sam looked at the clock
"Time of Death 5:35PM." He said as he threw his instruments in the bowl and walked out.
Sam broke the news to Alice and their family.
