Yuka stood in front of you, Uzuki, Rika, and the other sniper who used to be under Aikawa's control (who you had come to know as White Feather), tapping his cigarette remnants onto his ashtray as you all waited in a tense silence. After your one on one discussion, he was quickly reminded by his memory of who exactly he had to talk to.

After a brief discussion with both the Great Angel and Uzuki, he gathered Rika and Tanabe to a small meeting to talk over some basic things. The bulk of the information had already been addressed.

"All of you, please listen to me," Yuka spoke. You tilted your head in his direction, shifting it away from Rika, who had been speaking before. "Before we go to battle... I want to make one thing clear."

His steely eyes found yours. You gave him a small nod, encouraging him to go forward.

"In this realm, the dead will never revive. It's because even if God is born, the life taken from the dead will be consumed for the birth of God." He brought the stick up to his mouth, taking a long drag before continuing. "We've been manipulated by the words about God, but what was obvious was... this realm is really crappy."

He glanced over each person carefully, seemingly taking in everybody's current state. "Everybody..." he muttered out, stopping his eyes on you. They lingered for a while, and it was hard not to notice the way that they softened. You grinned at him.

"Don't die."

-----------------------

You coughed awkwardly into your hand as you looked at the bodies strewn around you, Rika catching his breath after kicking down the final one. His strength was certainly a surprise. You were aware that he was strong, especially after what he went through with Aikawa, but you had no idea that it would make him that strong.

The bodies around you were mostly neutral Masks, which was lucky for you. It made looking at them and watching them get killed much easier than it would be if they were any other type of Mask, though it didn't take away the squeamish feeling in your stomach that rose up each time Rika smashed the skull of one.

You carefully tiptoed around the pools of blood towards Yuka, cringing as you failed to avoid one. You lifted up your shoe with a look of disgust. Beginning to shake the blood off of your shoe, you watched as it hit the cement under you.

"Although these guys aren't humans... such a fact doesn't make you relieved," Yuka mumbled, glancing around at the bodies as you did before. His eyes caught onto you, noticing your struggle with navigating through the field of the dead.

He slowly stepped towards you and held out a hand, a sigh of relief escaping your lips as you caught sight of the familiar glove. You grabbed his hand, using it as a crutch to aid your trekking through the maze.

"However," he continued. "This is what we have to do to protect the lives of those remaining in this realm. If possible, I wanted to save everybody's lives... but two people died after we entered the terminal phase."

"Juo and one of the Guardian Angel's, right?" you questioned, testing your memory of the knowledge he had poured onto you earlier.

"Correct," he replied, tightening his grip around your hand as you made your final hop. You landed gracefully, brushing off your skirt with your free hand while sending him a thankful grin.

"Juo... did Juo also take the Guardian Angel's life?" Rika asked. He tilted his head to the side with his gaze sent over his shoulder.

"The person who directly killed him was... Shinji Okihara." Yuka released his hand from your own, bringing it up to hold his rifle.
