"Mr. Mask," Kuon panted out, her steps uneven as she lagged slightly behind you.

"Can we take a..." She heaved out a breath, sucking in air to help her finish her sentence. "Can we take a break?"

You weren't sure why Sniper was in such a hurry, but it was evident that he had some motive in mind. His pace was most definitely faster than it had ever been before, and with the combination of his long legs, it was practically perfectly shaped to cause Kuon distress. Even you were having some trouble keeping up.

"We're almost there, Kuon," he reassured, slowing down his strides just a tad. You smiled at his back gratefully, stepping back to help Kuon up.

"It's alright, Kuon. We'll be there in no time. Catch your breath for a second, we just have a little more to go." You patted her shoulder, setting out your hand in front of her. She took it tightly, pulling herself up to her feet and gripping onto your arm for support.

"You're right! In order to achieve becoming a Perfect God, I need to be able to handle these things!" she shouted with determination, the speed in her steps quickening. You laughed a bit, scratching your cheek. With her fast efforts, you were beginning to switch roles.

"That's the spirit..."

Around ten minutes later, Sniper walked into a building, holding his hand out as a signal for the two of you to stop. Kuon came to an abrupt stop, a sigh of release escaping your lips at the short rest. When Kuon got motivated to do something, there truly was no stopping her.

Sniper looked around the halls, and after confirming that there were no enemies in the surrounding area, signaled for the two of you to step closer. You took in a deep breath of air, attempting to satisfy your deprived lungs.

"Why..." You stopped your sentence short, holding up a finger as a signal to wait as you breathed in and out shallowly. Sniper stared at you in your crouched over position, your hand resting on your left knee as your other hand held up the finger. After a few moments of getting air, you were able to breathe properly once again. "Why did you bring us here?"

"I know my way around the high-rise buildings well. I think this is the most likely place that girl in the sailor uniform will end up." He turned away from you, beginning to walk down the hall. "There should be some rooms around here that you can rest in, Kuon."

You smiled at him, turning around and waving at Kuon. She got the gesture, following behind you hastily. After a minute or two of walking, Sniper finally stopped in front of a door, gently opening it. The room looked very similar to the lobby that you and Sniper had sat in while scrolling through Kuon's phone, in fact, it was almost an exact replica.

"You can take a nap, or lay down, or whatever in here. I'll keep watch. Y/N, you should get some rest too."

Your eyes widened at the sudden care he sent towards you, fighting the blush that wanted to creep up on your cheeks and giving him a small nod instead.

"Thank you, Mr. Mask! This won't take long, just come and wake us up in an hour!" Kuon showed her appreciation, grabbing your wrist and gently tugging you along with her into the room. She shut the door, collapsing on one of the couches. You sat across from her with a small smile on your face.

"Comfy?" you asked, leaning your elbow onto the arm rest. She nodded, closing her eyes and letting out a small hum. Before you knew it, she turned to you, eyes wide open and curious.

"Y/N, what do you think about Mr. Mask?"

"What do I think about Sniper?" you repeated, tilting your head. She nodded enthusiastically, flipping over onto her stomach and resting her chin on the palms of her hands. She awaited your response giddily, her feet swinging back and forth.
