Just as you were about to head back to the lounge area, the rest of the group made their appearance on top of the roof. You had protested to the sudden change of location, but Yuri claimed it was good for them to get some air in such a stressful situation. You couldn't argue with that, but you stayed wary of the area surrounding you. Who knows what could pop out at any time.

Uzuki had taken it upon himself to find something to pass the time, and you just so happened to be involved in his plan. He invited you to participate in a thumb war (which you let him win every time, claiming that he was just too good at the game for you to beat him), but after the game got too repetitive, he resorted to any kind of clapping game that could come to his mind. To avoid losing the lighter during all of this hand movement, you simply stuck it in the small pocket on your shirt, buttoning up the pocket securely.

You were seated on the ground across from him, and the jacket he had gotten you was draped over your legs. After the sun rose, the temperature of the realm increased a lot more than you thought it would, and the early morning chill disappeared entirely.

You were in the midst of playing a clapping game he had just made up, in which you repeated the rhythm he just made without messing up. It was actually much more difficult than you imagined it to be, especially when he started getting creative with his patterns. In the middle of one of your attempts to recreate a beat, a sudden gunshot resounded through the air.

You heard Kuon gasp and you stopped the movement of your hands, shifting your gaze to the sky with pursed lips. The sound of Sniper's rifle was all too familiar to your ears.

"That gunshot tells us that a full fledged battle has begun," Hayami stated, bringing his fan up to his face. Uzuki stood up and looked towards the direction where the attack unit had run off to, Yuri joining him.

"Yes... there's quite a distance from here to that gunshot, and these buildings block our view, but... I believe that the battle has begun in the parking lot building," he continued, catching your attention.

"You can tell where they are just by the echo of the gunshot?" you asked, lifting the jacket up from your legs and wrapping around your waist. You brushed off any muck that had gathered on your skirt off as you stood. Hayami nodded simply, and you gave him an impressed look.

"Mr. Prophet, what do you mean?" Yuri glanced over her shoulder, her eyes meeting with the Prophet's face. Her brows were furrowed intensely, and she seemed to be breaking out in a nervous sweat. "Their guard should be low..."

"The Aikawa side probably responded fast. Anyway, I am against the plan to close in." He made his opinion clear, closing his eyes as his hand tightened around the edge of his fan. "If Aikawa spots us, we will surely be his first target."

He opened his eyes once again, letting them trail over you before they looked back at Yuri. She was gazing at him with an icy, threatening look.

"If Mr. Sniper is going to fight while protecting us... the combat efficiency will tone down. Moreover, the three of them won't be defeated easily. I think we should have faith in them and wait here."

You watched as Yuri's eyes narrowed dangerously. Her jaw was clenched so hard you thought her teeth would chip, and her fist tightened into a shaky ball. You walked up to her slowly, placing a calming hand on her shoulder.

You understood how she felt, being able to do nothing but watch while a loved one was putting their life on the line was always frustrating.

"Mr. Prophet."

Hayami's ears perked up, and you looked over at the source of the sound. You were met with a very firm looking Kuon, her fists clenched and her stance straight. Your eyes largened a bit at the sight, it was indeed strange seeing her like this. But you were proud, she had grown into quite the leader.
