It's been almost two weeks since I had talked to Taylor.
He got a job at the mall and I have been working overtime, so we haven't even really seen each other. That is until today when he came and knocked on my door.

I open it and there he is. He has his glasses on and black tee with jeans. He looks really pretty even though he's not trying to.

"Hey" he smiles

"Hi" I reply brushing some of the hair out of my eyes. I had woken up about half an hour ago. So I had brushed my teeth and thats about it.

"I know we haven't really been able to talk lately but I really would like to be friends with you so if you free today, would you like to hang out?" He asks.
I didn't have anything going on and honestly I knew he didn't like me like I liked him but being his friend would be great.

"Sure that sounds great if you want to come in you are welcome to I just have to get ready which shouldn't take to long" I say opening my door.

"Okay yeah that's fine" he replies following me inside.

"Go ahead and do whatever you want I'll only be a couple minutes" I tell him walking to my room. I open my closet and toss on an old purple long sleeve with a pair of ripped jeans. I then brush my hair tying it up into a bun.
I'm now ready so I exit my room and come out to find him sitting on my couch. His phone is in his hand and he is smiling at it.

"Whatcha smiling at?" I ask teasingly

"Nothing it's just my girlfriend" he says. At that exact moment my hearts drops a bit. I knew I didn't have a chance.
"Oh what her name" I question taking a seat next to him.
"Kendra" he replies pulling up a picture. "That's her"

She has long blonde hair and green eyes. Her cheeks are rosy and she has a slit in her eyebrow. She was beautiful, like stunning I couldn't even come close in comparison.

"She's really pretty" I tell him.

"I know, it really sucks doesn't live here, I think she would like you" he remarks stand up off the couch.

"Since you look ready to go, shall we?" He asks changing the subject. I smile and nod trying not to let my hurt show through. I was happy for him but I honestly shouldn't have gotten my hopes up that he would eventually like me like I did liked him.

We leave the apartment complex and head to his car, It's an old grey Honda.
We get in and I immediately ask where we are going. A smile plays onto his lips and he looks as if he is thinking.

"It's a surprise" he says wiggling his eyebrows and pulling out of the parking lot. I sigh and turn on the radio. It was set on a classic rock station which made me happy.
We take a turn off and begin driving through the run down part of town. It's actually really close to where I used to live.
"What are we doing?" I ask actually confused.

"Driving" he jokes before continuing. "I'm taking you to a place I found when exploring town one day" he explains. "Oh" I say watching houses go by.
We take a take a turn onto the road I lived on as a child and my anxiety rises. The worst things run through my mind. I try to fight them out of my brain, but soon enough we are parked in an empty parking lot and the bad thoughts are dissolved from my mind.

I shake my head an turn to him. "Are you going to try and kill me" I ask jokingly.
He laughs and shakes his head. "No I actually like you" he tells me before getting out of the car. I do the same and stay by the passenger door.
He walks over to me and grabs my hand. "I promise I'm not going to murder you but do you trust me?" He cautions. I nod my head and he leads me through some thin trees and brush to a small playground.
