Chapter 20

I nodded and closed my eyes. I need to get out of here...

Wildcard's POV

I sat on the ground with Y/n's head on my lap.

"Is there some sort of cure?"

I looked up at her parents as they shook their heads and shrugged.

"Of course..."

We sat there for a while longer before I remembered something.

"Wait! What if I healed her?"

Wheels shook his head. "No. You don't know what you would be healing her of. I'm sorry man."

"But there was also that bunker that we found Ms. Granada in! What if we went there?"

"That could work... let's go!"

Wildcard scooped Y/n into his arms and started walking. He knew he should probably let her parents spend time with her but he couldn't. He can't let her go.

They walked up to the fake rock. Wildcard handed Y/n to Marcus before he walked up to the rock. Waited for it to open, and when it did he bent down and lifted the hatch.

Everyone climbed down. Wildcard opened the door and walked in. Noodle was at the top slowly lowering Y/n down to Marcus.

Once everyone got in they walked through the room with the bunked beds. There were no aliens.

They kept walking in hopes of finding Ms. Granada.

As they were walking Wildcard looked through the crowd of people to see Y/n laying in Marcus's arms.

He sighed and kept walking.

When they made it to the desk they saw Ms. Granada sleeping. She had her head on the desk with some drool dribbling down her cheek.

Everyone"s eyes widened knowing that if she caught them noticing the drool they would be in trouble.

Guppy poked her head. Ms. Granada's head shot up as she wiped her drool.

"Did you see that?"

Everyone shook their heads "see what?"

She squinted. "Oh my! You're here!"

She sprung up from her seat and ran around the desk towards everyone. While fixing the sleeve of her blouse she scoffed happily.

"I can't believe you're actually here! I've been waiting. Everyone on the planet has evacuated on a secret ship we had kept hidden. I had stayed behind because I knew you would arrive!"

She kept her smile on her face. It faded slowly as she saw no one else was smiling with her. She looked toward the back of the group and saw Marcus holding Y/n.

"Oh my... what happened to her?"

She pushed through everyone before finally reaching Y/n. She looked closer and saw the faint shade of green that was appearing in her skin.

"Oh... what happened to her?"

Everyone looked down. Wildcard stepped forward and looked at Ms. Granada.

"We we're at the at the center of the planet and everything started rumbling. We were running and she fell on a plant. It snapped and something touched her. Then she started turning green."

Ms. Granada nodded her head. "I see... follow me."
