"YES MA'AM THATS MA BOYYYY!!!!"

"GO NAWUTO!!"

Nao and I cheered for Naruto, who had just won his match against Neji. What a badass, beating the shit out of Neji from a hole in the ground. We stan.

Eboy's match was pushed back, and Kankuro backed out before his match even began, so it was now time for Shikamaru and Temari's match. I'm next...

----

Of course, Temari won the match with Shikamaru quitting like the lazy ass he is. Oh well, at least it was fun to watch.

I jumped down into the arena whilst Nao flew down next to me. Poor Temari was still in shock from the last match. "Well? Are you ready to fight or nah?" I asked. She snapped out of her shocked state at my words. A smirk formed on her face. "Well of course I am. I see you brought your little cat friend. It's fine. If you really need the handicap then go for it," she taunted, the smirk not leaving her face.

I smirked back. "It seems you really underestimate us then. Right, Nao?" Nao bounced happily as it was his first fight. "Alright, you can begin now," Genma announced. The crowd went wild at the fact that it was finally my match. "YEAH JENNIE YOU GOT THIS!!!" I smiled at Naruto's encouraging shouts.

"Nao!" I called. Immediately Nao picked me up and we flew just below the viewing area. Temari looked up at us. "How unfortunate. I use wind while you use fire...no matter, I can still beat you regardless." I'm not sure if Temari was talking to me or trying to reassure herself...

"Wind scythe jutsu!!" She yelled, hurling a gust of wind at us with her fan. A test, probably. I remained in my position and ate her wind. It kinda slaps doe... "What?! She can eat wind as well?!" Again with the talking to herself thing. Like, what's that about? Is it just a Naruto character thing or sumn?

"You know Temari, I think this match would be pretty boring if I were to use fire against you, wouldn't you agree? So I say let's give the crowd a show. That being said, care to make a bet?" The crowd seemed to respond positively to this. Temari looked slightly surprised but regained her composure with a confident smirk. "Depends. Just what kind of wager are we going to make?" I pretended to think about it. "I was thinking...our lives." Gasps from the crowd and the other candidates were heard. "Well with confidence like that, I can't really say no, can I? I'll just have to put you in your place then."

"YOU'D BETTER NOT LOSE TO THIS CLOWN THEN, JENNIE!" Yeah, as if. If I were prepared to lose I wouldn't be making a bet like this.

I gave Nao a small nod, signaling for him to let me down. "Remember our training. I only want you to come in whenever you feel I'm in real danger, okay?" Nao gave me a confident nod. "Aye sir!" My eyes filled with sparkles. Did he just...say aye sir? CUTE!!

"Hey! For someone who just bet their life, you sure don't seem too serious about it, huh?" Temari snapped me back into the match. "Oops, sorry bout that. It's just, Nao is sometimes too cute to resist. Ya feel bruv?" She tilted her head in confusion. "...Okay? Well whatever, let's just get on with it!"

Hm, let's see...Temari specializes in long-range attacks, and ordinary weapons are pretty much useless against her, so my best bet would either be close-range or some type of specialized long-range. An idea came to mind. I got it! I bit my thumb and slammed it onto the ground.

"Open, gate of the scorpion: Scorpio!" I shouted. Scorpio appeared before me, doing his rad hand thing. "What the-"

"Go, Scorpio!" I shouted. "Rad yo! Sand buster!" Scorpio sent sand at Temari, catching her off guard. I've never tried this before, so I hope it works... "Sky dragon's roar!!" I yelled, adding my wind to Scorpio's attack. Temari, who was still surprised, didn't have enough time to react and in turn was hit.
