Chapter 19

"Sigh, I had a feeling this would happen."

"Hiro, is that you?"

"Course it is, now stand up before I drag your ass."

I did as he said and stood up slowly, a blinding white light surrounding me. I held my hand up and did my best to block out the light.

"Hiro what the hell? Do something about this light! It's really hurting my eyes you know!"

"Ughhh, just walk forward damn."

I complied with his directions and walked until finally the light cleared. I was now in a room surrounded by nothingness. The only other person besides me was Hiro, and now we were standing face to face.

"Where are we?" I asked hesitantly.

Hiro shrugged. "This is only temporary. Don't worry about it."

"Okay, so, why am I here then?"

Hiro placed a finger on his chin and hummed as if he was thinking.

"Hmmm. I don't know, maybe because you used a mega powerful spell on the pedo and then he found out who you are. Something like that maybe."

"I'm confused. What do you mean he found out who I am? Like, my past life or something?"

"Not exactly...you'll find out soon, okay? So for now just go back. I'm going to stay here and rest."

"Hey! You're just gonna leave me?! What if I need you?"

"Relaxxxx. I'll be back with you by the preliminary round so don't get your panties in a twist, damn."

I sighed as the room began to fade, signaling I was about to wake up.

When I came back to, Eboy's fight was coming to a close. 'I still have a chance then!' I thought hopefully.

I dashed over to where Orochipedo and Eboy was, but I was too late. "NOOO!!!" I screamed, but to no avail. Orochipedo bit Eboy, leaving his curse mark.

I landed next to Eboy and Pinky as Orochipedo began to retreat. "What have you done to Sasuke?!" Pinky asked harshly as Eboy clutched his neck in pain. "I just gave him a little parting gift. Very soon Sasuke will seek me out and desire my power. In the meantime, I enjoyed the demonstration of the powers you already possess..." He sunk into the tree, his laugh echoing through the forest as he disappeared.

Eboy dropped to his knees, screeching in pain. "Dammit!" I cursed. 'I need to act fast!' But I knew I couldn't do anything. The fact was I was simply too exhausted already and if I used any more drastic amounts of power it could very well be the end.

I slid down do Eboy's level and examined his mark. "Sakura...take Ducky to a safe place," I instructed. She looked hesitant. "But, what about Naruto?"

"I'll take Naruto and meet up with you soon, just go! He needs to be somewhere safe as soon as possible!" She nodded, still hesitant, and took Eboy away. Leaving me to collect Naruto.

I pulled the kunai out of the tree and caught Naruto shakily, almost falling over with his weight. Normally I wouldn't be affected by this, but damn he's heavy. And it didn't help that I was already weakened from the fight with Orochipedo.

I sucked in a deep breath and gathered all my strength to find the others. It didn't take me long, thankfully, to regroup with Pinky and a knocked out Eboy.
