[EDITED]
'Ah shit,' I thought to myself as I ran out of school, narrowly evading students and teachers alike."GET BACK HERE!!!" Yelled my teacher who was chasing me.
"Nah, don't feel like it," I replied nonchalantly, snickering as I jumped over the school fence. I smiled victoriously as I realized the teacher had stopped following me, only to frown once I saw her smirking.
Bam!
In a flash, I was on the ground. When I looked up, I saw the not so happy face of my principal, his hands on his hips as he shot me a disapproving look. I smiled sheepishly, laughing nervously as the large man picked me up, stomping back to his office with me.
"Miss Peterson, must I express the disappointment I feel right now with you?" The principal spoke as he slumped down into his seat, my teacher smirking in satisfaction beside him.
"Uh, maybe you should elaborate?" I said- well, more like asked.
"This is the fifteenth time you've run from detention, young lady! Not only that, but you've done nothing but cause trouble for the school and its staff and students! I have half a mind to contact your parents right this minute!"
"No, please don't!" I begged, shooting up out of my chair.
"Do it," sneered my teacher, giving me the eye. That bitch was really out to get me. I began sweating nervously as the principal reached for his phone.
Knock knock!
"Mr. Yama?" Came a familiar voice.
'My savior!!' I thought gratefully, internally crying tears of joy. Mr. Yama, the principal, sighed, motioning to my teacher who opened the door reluctantly, revealing my one and only friend and "adoptive" sister, Ally.
"Excuse me sir, I've come for my sister." A polite smile was plastered on her face in order to sell the act.
Mr. Yama sighed. "Well, I suppose since your sister is here, I'll let you go."
I let out a breath of relief. "But, you must serve detention for the rest of the semester every day. And you'll be helping the janitor clean the bathrooms after school."
"Yes, Mr. Yama, sir!" I gave a mock salute, running up to Ally. My teacher scoffed, walking out of the room in annoyance. I stuck my tongue out behind her. She really was a bitch, not to mention she for some reason had a grudge against me in particular- not that most of the teachers liked me very much, anyway. The perks of being the school's most renowned troublemaker (a title I'm very much proud of, you wouldn't believe how much effort it took to get it). After that, I walked out with Ally to our bikes which were outside of the school.
"Did you run away from detention again?" She asked me as we unchained our bikes, walking them to our house which was about a mile away.
"...Maybe..." I trailed off, though it wasn't because I was shy or anything. Escaping detention was a common occurrence, and it wasn't like Ally was against me doing it. We just stared at each other for a minute before bursting out laughing. Ally held up her hand, to which I high-fived her.
"Ahhh, my amazing bestie has done it again. Nicely done. Well, except for the part where you got caught. That Ms. Hengle is as shitty as shitty gets in terms of both personality and teaching- no wonder she's just Ms. Hengle."
I snickered. "So true."
'Wait, what did we do?' Came a voice in my head.
Oh god, not this bitch again.
