Sucked into Five-O

Five-O

I am at work doing stuff that needs to get done when I notice Steve and Danny talking, I finish my work and walk out of my office.

"Hey guys what's up?" I asked.

"Nothing HPD is rolling out the red carpet for Sid." Danny said.

"What do you mean?"  Steve asked.

"Sid goes undercover for a year, basically ends the gang war. How he helps us get Salvo. The guys a hero." Danny said walking away.

"So are he and Chin cool then?" Steve asked.

"I don't know about cool, I'd say defrosting, it's gonna take time." I said.

"It's hell of a grudge to hang onto man. Chin saved that guys life." Steve said as we walk through the doors.

"Yeah, that reminds me did you, uh, speak to the governor about my coustody issue?" Danny asked as they walk down the hall.

"Governor doesn't discuss her business with me. I might have heard something about Step-Stan building a new hotel though, and, uh, you need government approval for that." Steve said as we  stop and Danny holds his hand out for a handshake.

"Thank you." He said as he and Steve shake hands.

"Let me ask you something. How far deep did you have to dig? I mean how much of your soul did you just lose by actually appreciating me?" Steve asked as I smirk .

"Uh, I'm measuring." Danny said and I really start laughing.

We walk into one of the offices hearing crowd cheering and Kono laughing while eating popcorn.

"What are we watching?" Steve asked.

"You getting you ass handed to you in the state championship." Kono said and I wince as I watch   Steve get sacked.

"Kukui put all the old games online." Chin said as Steve crosses his arms

"Steve you just got sacked, you should've passed." Kono said.

"Why pass when you can run." Steve said.

"Oh." Danny said as Steve jumps over a player and then dives over two other players.

"Ah, see, now I gotta admit, that was a beautiful play." Chin said.

"Thank you." Steve said

"John couldn't stop screaming." Chin said as Me, Danny and Kono look at Steve.

"You were there with my dad?" Steve asked

Chin pauses the game turning to us

"Yeah. I was fresh out othe academy, he was my training officer." Chin said as Danny and I lean against the table and Kono takes another piece of popcorn tossing it in her mouth.

"I'll tell you, any day that Steve McGarrett was starting quarterback was an official day off." Chin said

"I just have one question. What's a quaterback doing with the number 50?" I asked.

No it's Five-O." Steve said.

"Yeah." Danny said.

"No, it's not 50, it's Five-O. It's what my dad used to call our family because we weren't native Hawaiian, so he nicknamed us Five-Os after the 50th state in the Union---I don't know. It was his way of making us feel like we belonged someplace, I guess." Steve said

"Hmm. I like that. Five-O" Kono said making Steve smirk. 

I smile before muttering.

"A princess doesn't cry." I said.
