(Faith's Outfit)
A car is driving down the road.
"Dad, serirously, it's like 6:00 in the morning." A boy said over the phone as the camera comes to a stop inside a car.
"Well it's 6:15, you said you wanted to get up early to study so this is me waking you" The boys dad said as he face times him.
"Yeah, early. Not the butt crack of dawn." The boy said and his dad chuckles.
"Where are you?" The boy asked.
"Oh, we talked about this, bud. I have a big meeting this morning." The dad said looking at breif case that is laying next to him.
"Oh right." The boy said.
The camera goes to the boy laying in a bedroom.
"You know everyone's been asking me if I'm going in the Kahana camping trip." The boy said.
The camera goes to the dad in the car who sighs.
"Evan, I don't know if I feel comfortable you going without supervision." The dad said and the boy now known as Evan scoffs.
The camera goes back to Evan.
"Jordan's uncle's gonna be there." Evan said.
The camera goes to the dad in the car.
"Well I don't know Jordan's uncle, Evan." The dad said.
"Dad, he's a librarian, how dangerous can he be?" Evan said and the dad sighs again.
The camera goes from the dad to one of the men sitting in the front seat.
"Okay, I'll tell you what, you ace this test and then we'll talk about Kahana Valley, okay?" The dad said.
"Your such a dictator." Evan said.
"I know. I'm the worst dad ever." The dad said just as a van slams into the car causing it to flip and land on the roof.
"Dad?" Evan said as the dad tries to get out just as rapid gunfire is heard.
Evan continues to call out for his dad as the dad is taken from the car.
A bag is put on his head as he struggles and a blue van pulls up and he is put in the back of the van before they flea the scene.
"Dad?" Evan said.
Behind the McGarrett home.
John McGarrett's Voice Over: "When he was 5 years old I asked my son Steve what he wanted to be when he grew up."
Steve dives into the water swimming.
John McGarrett's Voice Over: "I wanna be a cop dad like you, I told him to be anything but that."
Steve is still swimming.
Kono is hanging up her cop uniform.
John McGarrett's Voice Over: "The life of a cop is not easy. It's not that I'm not proud of the work that I did."
She looks at it smiling before walking away.
John McGarrett's Voice Over: "But more than anything I have regrets."
Chin is driving down the road on his motorcycle.
John McGarrett's Voice Over: ""The toll it took on my family the way it hurt them is something I think about everyday."
