Nick spent a couple of days in New Jersey spending time with his brother helping him recover but they all knew that his knee would never recover fully. He made it back with Demi just in time for her to do her last show of the tour, he missed her and couldn't wait to see what she had been up to and see her do what she does best up on the stage. He made it to the concert venue late that night just in time to see Demi do her last couple of songs, he waved to Demi from the side of the stage when she looked his way Demi only waving back made the crowd roar. They thought maybe it could be Nick knowing he had been away or Wilmer who joined her whenever he could.
Demi ran off the stage giving Nick the biggest hug she could, she missed her best friend and the company he gives her. He was a huge part of her life and had helped her through so much over the years. He had been there for her through everything and didn't judge her or leave her for what she became. She was most thankful for that. He didn't even care that she was sweaty from being in the lights and pleasing the crowd. He just loved the big hug she was giving him as he hugged her back just as tight.
"I missed you so much!" Demi exclaimed pulling away from the hug.
"I missed you too Dems." He replied kissing her sweaty forehead not caring. He grabbed her hand in a friendly kind of way as the two of them begin wondering through the halls until they reached Demi's dressing room where they both took a seat. Demi knew she didn't need to rush out of the venue, it would be easier to wait until the fans had left.
"How is your brother?" Demi questions regretting it when he sighed.
"He's torn the muscle in his knee and isn't able to play football again, he's not very happy about it." Nick explained, Joe was still in a depressed state when he left this morning. He didn't want to leave but he had his own work to do whether it was the same as his or not. He loved seeing his family again and spending time with them.
"Aw I hope he cheers up soon, what else does he like to do?" Demi inquired.
"Nothing really, Football has always been his life. Even when we were growing up he usually had a football in his hands. We were trying to come up with something else he can do for work but every suggestion we had he shot down, there isn't anything else he wants to do." Nick rants a little bit Demi seeing how worked up he was getting over it.
"I'm sure there is something." Demi stated but Nick shook his head.
"The only thing I can think of is his guitar but ever since he started football he hasn't picked the thing up." Nick spoke.
"Maybe encourage him to pick it up again." Demi suggests.
"He's stubborn that's the issue, he's had his mind set on Football for so long it's going to be hard to get his mind of it." Nick replied running his fingers through his short brunette hair, he appreciated the support Demi was giving him. He knew that she would come up with some great ideas on what he could do, she always had the best ideas.
"I think after the tour is officially over and we have a clear schedule we'll go over, maybe I can convince him to pick the guitar up. Is he any good?" Demi questioned.
"He was really good, I mean really good but I don't know about now. Maybe he lost his touch but I hope not." Nick responded.
"Did he enjoy playing?" Demi questioned again Nick nodding his head.
"He would barely put it down, it's a shame he picked football really. He's much better at guitar." Nick explains Demi smiling, she could see the love he had for his older brother. She's surprised she hasn't met any of them before if she was being honest.
"Then it can't be hard to get him to pick it up." Demi stated Nick smiling as well bringing her into a hug kissing her head gently.
