No Control | A Jemi Love Story

Episode 40

Joe put the phone down sliding it in his pocket. He made his way into the bedroom where he could hear Demi singing in the shower. He couldn't help but smile knowing she was starting to feel better. He wondered over to the wardrobe bringing out one of his favourite outfits on his girlfriend laying it down on the bed with a clean set of underwear. He then proceeded to pick out his own outfit laying it down next to Demi's just in time for her to come out the bathroom a towel wrapped around her body and a separate one around her head to prevent beads of water dripping down her dry body.

"What's this?" Demi inquired.

"A surprise, put that on while I go for my shower." Joe stated pecking her lips Demi watching him as he walked into the bathroom. She raised her eyebrow but did as she was told, she changed into the dress before drying her hair styling it how she wanted it then doing her makeup. She was halfway through doing her make up when Joe entered the room again just in his boxers.

"Will you tell me where we're going?" Demi inquired.

"You won't tell me what your plan is to get me over stage fright and I'm not telling you this either." Joe grinned when Demi groaned.

"Sorry Joe but I'm going to have to postpone my plan, I'm not in the mood to try and get you over your fear." Demi replied.

"It's fine Dems." Joe kissed her head gently then getting changed himself.

Joe and Demi got ready before leaving the apartment for the first time in days, Joe kept Demi close to him for comfort as they battled through the reporters then heading down the street. Demi knew they weren't going far as they were walking. Only when they were away from most of the reporters Joe let go of Demi taking hold of her hand instead.

"It feels nice to be out." Demi admitted.

"See I told you you'd enjoy yourself and we haven't even been anywhere yet." Joe teased kissing her head gently. They didn't really show much affection for each other when out in public other than holding hands. They didn't want loads of pictures going out of them kissing or anything. They kept that to themselves.

"I wish you'd tell me what's going on." Demi confessed Joe chuckling, he knew she'd like it and it would be better kept as a surprised. She had already expressed how much she doesn't like surprises to him but they continued to saunter down the street hand in hand only a couple of reporters following them giving up on asking them questions now which were mainly about why Demi was in hospital a couple of days ago or Jamie being released from prison.

"You'll find out soon, we're nearly there." Demi sighed giving up, Joe couldn't help but laugh again. He knew that his brother was already there and hopefully a bunch of other people all waiting to see Demi after a long time. They had been through the same sort of situation and could help each other through this tough time.

"Aw I love this restaurant." Demi grinned as she saw where they had stopped.

"I know, you took us here on one of our first dates here in LA." Joe replied holding the door open for her, he entered after her smiling when a bunch of people approached them greeting them both even though Joe had never met any of them in his life over than Nick who he was familiar with. It was the cast of Camp Rock. Or at least the ones who could meet them.

"It's nice to see all of you!" Demi exclaimed letting go of Joe's hand beginning to share hugs around even Nick who she hadn't seen in a couple of days. "Did you do this Jonas?" Demi challenged as she pulled away from Alyson.

"Maybe I did." Joe replied laughing as she gave him a hug, he was just happy that he could see her beautiful smile again.
