i stayed in the bathroom longer than i should have. yes i had to pee but afterwards i gave myself a pep talk in the mirror. i could not ruin things with her. i needed to just tell her how i felt. i opened the door and walked out.

lane was laying on her bed. she looked very comfy. she looked up at me and smiled.

"hi there" she said. her smile grew. okay ace. this is your chance.

"hi lane. can i talk to you about something?" i asked. the nerves started to creep into my voice.

"of course" she said. she sat up to face me better. right as i was about to speak her phone started buzzing like crazy. she picked it up and her whole mood changed. she hung up and threw her phone on the floor.

"sorry about that. josh keeps calling me. what did you wanna talk to me about?" she asked. there was so much annoyance in her voice. i didn't think that now would be the best time for the convo.

"never mind! it can wait" i said a little disappointed.

"are you sure?" she said. i sat there in silence. she grabbed my hand which caused me to look up.

"whatever it is just tell me ace" the way she said my name made my heart rate speed up. how could a girl have such a big impact on my life? she wasn't just any girl though. here we go. time to tell her

"i feel like this is super soon to tell you but i can't keep it to myself anymore" i say there waiting for her to say something. she just looked at me and nodded.

"alec and harley have probably told you i don't really do relationships. i do hookups. no strings attached. none of the love and mushy bullshit. but as soon as i saw you my whole mindset changed. i saw a girl who was more than just a pretty face and bangin body. i saw a girl worth the world. i cant even explain the way you have made me feel the past couple of days but it has been such an adrenaline rush for me. i have enjoyed every second of it. all the unsure feelings and ways you have made me feel does scare me to be honest. but i think at this point i should take this into full force and just tell you this before i lose my mind" i looked at her snd her eyes grew big. come on ace. just say the damn words already. "i- i-.... fuck it. lane i like you so much it is driving me crazy" and with that i looked to my lap.

my body was shaking but i felt a weight lift off my shoulders. she grabbed my chin so i would be looking at her. she smiling at me.

"glad i could turn you into a softie ace" that sentence drove my whole body insane. i had this feeling i'd never have before. it was indescribable.

"i don't know if softie would be the right word for it" i sad in a sly and joking tone. she giggled at my responses but left her hand under my chin. she looked me up and down and slowly leaned in. this was the moment i have been waiting for.

she placed her lips on mine. the sparks that formed from that small kiss sent jolts down my body. it was a feeling i was not used to. i grabbed her face as we continued to kiss. she broke the kiss off with a giggle. she looked at me with a sparkle in her eyes. i was really in the deep end now.
