"Clean up on aisle nine! I repeat, clean up on aisle nine. We got another broken pickle jar," a young woman's voice rang out throughout the store over the P.A. system overhead which gained the attention of the shoppers mulling about looking for their grocery items. All except the five beta wolves, most likely the warrior type who were trained to fight and such for their pack, and the two people in the cheese and yogurt section in the back corner of the store.

Mason was fidgeting like crazy with a baby bracket with small round rattle rings attached he'd picked up while the man with the bright blue eyes, the alpha, had been following him while he wander the store trying to find a way out so he could run like hell but the beta's made sure to block the exits which led to Mason being backed up into a corner, literally wedged in a corner between the cheese and meat section of the store, with the alpha looming over him with his arms crossed. To the outside eye of everyone else in the store, Mason was getting scolded by his parent which made this situation even worse as the other humans were avoiding them so as not to get mixed up in it in any way so he was all alone with a alpha of all people.

Alpha's were strong, incredibly strong, and were natural born leaders. Even from a young age, alpha child often drew attention and respect from their peers. They were the center of their pack, the glue that holds all the werewolves within said pack together through thick and thin, and commanded them with a special tone only alpha's or luna's held, the alpha's destined mate, that could literally force anyone to do their bidding. Under the wrong hands, even bad things...

Mason took a chance and glanced up at the alpha from where his eyes had been glued to the floor, not daring to look the man in the eye, to see the mans arms still crossed firmly over his broad chest with one finger tapping away against his arm like he was patiently waiting for something. They'd been standing there for a good ten minutes now, neither of them moving much except the tapping against the arm and turns the baby bracket in his hands making the small round orbs on the bracket rattle, and not a single word had been said between them.

"Is he waiting for me to say something? Should I tell him about the hunters chasing me? Would he understand? Is he gonna kill me? What's he waiting for!? Do something!" Mason thought in a panic, his heart pounding heavily in his chest that it almost drowned out all other noises from his ears.
"Seeing as-" The sudden noise from the man in front of him made Mason jump out of his skin, his feet rising in the air for a split second. The second nose to startle Mason was the rattle hitting the ground which he had dropped during his scare and they both watched it roll away. Mason repressed a hysterical laugh, biting his lip harshly and gripping the front of his shirt tightly in his hands, while the alpha turned back to look at him slowly. "Seeing as," the alpha began again, "you don't appear to be ready to explain yourself like you said you would then I'm just going to ask you out right." With that the alpha lightly set his hand against the wall and leaned forward but he might as well have slammed it there with how badly Mason flinched, accidentally banging the back of his head against the wall. "Why the hell were you near my land?" the alpha asked with a low growl that almost had Mason pissing himself as he kept his eyes firmly on the ground and bowing his head to the man.

It was a show of submission, or at least Mason hoped it was. "How do you show submission in human form?" Mason wondered suddenly but seeing as the alpha hadn't ripped his throat out yet, bowing his head was working for him as he tried to find his voice. "I-I-I di-didn't mean t-to-to. I was o-on the run fr-f-from hunters, s-sir," Mason just barely got out, choking a little on his own air as he wrung out his shirt in his hands over and over again.

"I'm aware of that part, at least. Could smell them a mile away and was even planning to scout them out. So here pegs a different question. Why are they chasing you?" the man asked and Mason nearly broke out sobbing as he saw a red light reflecting off his sweat slick skin.
