Deceptive Trust

"I promise," He said smiling.

"I enjoyed it in case you were wondering"-Y/N

"I did too, " He smiled.

"I'm sorry for hurting you if I did Severus. I would never hurt you intentionally unless it was to protect you," You said concerned looking into his eyes for him to see the truth.

"Well for one, it couldn't hurt you to make new friends. Hopefully girl-friends" He mumbled.

"Hey, don't be jealous," You said pulling him into you against the desk wrapping your arms around him. You looked up at him with an amused grin but a happy one.

" Kind of hard not to, you're gorgeous and I am me. Older and a grump, with a dark past," He frowned.

"Well, it may come as a surprise, but I like you...just the way you are" You felt your heart glow at him. Looking at the clock, you noted how late it was and remembered you had to leave. Before he could say anything you hopped off the desk and began walking towards the door.

"Unfortunately, detention has to end Professor Snape," You said smirking at him giving him a suggestive look reminding him of what the two of you had just done.

He quirked his eyebrow at you in curiosity, intrigued at your boldness and sly remark. He looked like a lost puppy completely focused on your approval.

"Oh really, and why is that?" He said walking towards you slowly. You suddenly lost your ability to breathe and gulped. Severus stopped giving you both distance as you give him your explanation

"I have a meeting with the headmaster, he didn't tell you?" You asked trying to hide the effect he has on you.

"Oh he did," He said giving you a smug smirk. "I just didn't think it was that important at the moment"

You dropped your mouth gasping at him with no sound coming out.

"You sly sneak. You did that on purpose"-Y/N

"You didn't seem to mind that much," His smirk growing and smiling. His eyes glinted at you.

"Okay, I'll see you later," You said rolling your eyes. You opened the door walking out to the left side of the hallway trying to get out of his reach before he could pin you into the door again. He wouldn't do it where anyone could pop out and see. Severus followed you out.

"I will walk you"-Severus

He began walking fast in front of you just as he normally does. Is he naturally a fast walker or does he do this on purpose? After a few moments, he slowed down walking beside you. The corridor was dim since it was nighttime. To your surprise, he slipped his fingers through yours and lightly held your hand. You held his hand back.

The both of you walked to the staircase and he wished you goodnight kissing your forehead before he went away.

"Ah, Miss Hart, good evening"-Dumbledore

"Hello Professor" You smiled grimacing. You didn't like coming for these meetings anymore. He constantly asks more of you and he plans to do so today. You saw Harry in the Pensieve. Assuming he's looking through another memory.

"You seem troubled"-Dumbledore

"I'm fine"-Y/N

"It's okay to not be fine Y/N. You're allowed to be angry, scared, or even feel remorse for things. It's what makes us human"-Dumbledore smiled.

"How about all three? Or how about the fact I no longer trust you or anyone else?" You gritted your teeth.

"You don't trust me Y/N? Why?"-Dumbledore
