"Hello, class. Come one in. I have to meet a colleague in Europe in about an hour at Tradeskin and Beetlejuice's. Set your stuff down and pull out your books" Slughorn said putting his quills into his suitcase. He looked at his watch.

You walked over to the table with Harry and Xana. You pulled out the notebook copy you made from "The Half-Blood Prince's potions notes". You had labeled every page, title, and tip you could find. In the second half of the book you made, you put the list of offensive and defensive spells in the back.

"Okay, turn to page 162. There you will be brewing the Boil-Cure potion you're required to know for your NEWT's test. Begin!"-Slughorn

Oh wait, I need to talk to him about my NEWTs'. I have to finish it in less than a month. You walk up to him to let him know.

"Professor Slughorn sir"-Y/N

"Yes Miss Hart, do you need something"-Slughorn

"I spoke with Professor Dumbledore. And he says it would be in my best interests if I finished my NEWT's early this year. By the end of next month"-Y/N

"Doesn't he think that it's a bit early to push you along that fast? You've still got a whole year left after this to decide if you want to finish school early. Besides, what would he know what's best? I swear that man has too many things up his sleeve. High respect for him though" He rambled on.

"I would still be joining some of your classes. But I am doing him a favor in return for favor of my own. It requires more free time. Finishing the NEWT's early so that way it doesn't get in the way of my education"-Y/N

"You're sure about this Y/N? This is very hard work although I know you are an outstanding student"-Slughorn

"I don't have a choice honestly"-Y/N

"What are you trying to do? Is this about your sister? Regrettably, I heard they took your sister and her daughter. I am sorry. But do not waste your years away before it has even begun. We will get them back in time" He said softly patting your shoulder.

"It has nothing to do with them" You lied. Well not entirely. You were doing it for the bigger picture. Saving the world. Hopefully saving them was included.

"Do you have a teacher to help you prepare? Or a friend?"-Slughorn

"Dumbledore said he had someone in mind for me"-Y/N

"Well alright, if that is what Professor Dumbledore wants. For now, go finish your potion " He dismissed you.

You walked back to your table and looked at your ingredient list. You used your index finger to skin across the words. "Boil cure is a potion that removes boil made by the Pimple jinx. If the potion is made successfully, there will be pink smoke that rises" After seeing what you needed, you head to the cabinet and grab what you need.

You turned on the brewing fire underneath the cauldron adding 4 cups of water. Then you grabbed your knife and placed 6 snake fangs onto the table. You then crushed them with your pestle. Carefully you placed the tiny fragments of the teeth into your hand and put them into 4 measurements to drop them into the cauldron.

"Crush it a bit more"-Harry

"It's small enough, "You countered.

"Smaller the better"-Harry

"If you crush it too much, the heat will disintegrate the bones entirely and the potion won't work. It has to melt slowly"-Y/N

"Don't correct her Potter. She knows what she is doing" You heard a low rumbled voice.
