The day was going by pretty smoothly. Dream and George were both getting along pretty well. George was an introverted person like Dream, but somehow their conversations just seemed to flow.

At one point during the day, they had gotten into the topic of nicknames. How did they get to this point? No one knows, but they got there.

"I never liked traditional nicknames like 'honey, bubs, or babe'" George stated. Dream gave a slight nod responding with, "Bubs and honey are pretty bad, but babe? Come on it's a classic". They two shared a light chuckle before George asked, "Clay, do you have any nicknames"?

Although 'Clay' is known as 'Dream' by most people, he tends to become nervous when telling people about it, especially someone he only just met. "Um yeah, this might sound weird or whatever, but most people call me Dream. I know it's kind of weird and all bu-" "I love it" George quickly cut him off realizing Dream was embarrassed by the nickname.

Dream had a tendency to word vomit, and George picked up on it fairly quickly. He likes to think he noticed because he's good with these things, but in actuality, he relates to it. He can spot from a mile away someone nervous and/or anxious.

"Okay, well enough talking, our break is over" Dream stated aloud, but only for George to hear. George sighed heavily, signaling to Dream that he wasn't ready to go back to work.

The rest of the day went by quicker than usual. Dreams shift ended at 5 pm and George's ended at 6 pm. The current time was 4:48, and the two boys were working swiftly. George came up behind Dream tapping him on the shoulder. Dream turned around to see George standing there with a smile on his face.

Dream raised a brow confused by this sudden interaction and wasn't necessarily ready for what was about to come out of the mouth of the brunette. From the conversations they had throughout the day, George was a pretty unpredictable person. "What's up?" Dream asked, replicating the dumb smile plastered on George's face.

"I was just wondering, could I get your number"? At this moment in time Dreams heart stopped. He didn't know why, but the question made him flustered. "I kind of wanted to sync work schedules if that was okay with you. You're the one person I've been able to talk to without getting completely anxious" He said the last line with a slight chuckle. Dream let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding in and responded, "Yea, of course! I feel the same way, and I've worked here for almost two years".

George handed Dream his phone, and Dream typed in the 10 digits that would allow the two to communicate outside of their work environment. Dream slowly grew to feel a warm feeling near his heart. He wasn't sure why, but he didn't dislike the feeling. He added his contact name 'Dream :D" and handed George his phone back.

They continued small conversations about random topics until it was time to clock out. Instead of Dream automatically leaving as he usually would, he put up his pin and walked back over to George.

Since George was the new kid, he had to start with scooping popcorn. Dream headed over to the area the cute boy was working at and sat on the counter. George had a puzzled look on his face, wondering why Dream hasn't already sprinted out of this hell hole.

"You know you're really pretty," Dream said, immediately regretting what he said. Why did he say it? He couldn't tell you. Did he mean it? Most definitely.

"Thank you, Dream" George responded with a slight smile. This made Dream feel a lot better after blurting something out like that out of nowhere. The two just sat there, I'm a comfortable silence. Although being interrupted here and there by customers ordering a box of popcorn.

They were there, not much conversation going on between the two until it was George's turn to clock out. Once his pin was put up on the wall, he walked back towards the tall blonde waiting for him at the doors.

Dream opened up the door for George, exaggerating the theme of him being 'royalty'. "Thank you, sir," George said stifling his giggles.

Dream couldn't help but grow pink from the man walking beside him. Dream wrapped his arm around the shorters neck and walked him to his car.

George said his goodbyes and thanked Dream for the great first day at work. Dream made sure George knew he enjoyed the day just as much before heading to his car.

As he was walking away, he heard a yell from the distance coming from the one and only, saying "Text me". Dream was left confused due to him giving George his number, and not the other way around, but the comment still made him crack a smile.

And with that, they headed their separate ways, but little did they know, they were both eager to get home to contact the other.
