I felt his hands, slowly embracing me. Holding my waist and pulling me in. Fuck he was warm, I wanted to keep hugging but I wasn't quite ready to do that just yet. And so, I slowly pulled away and held his soft hand.
"Are you ready?" he asked.
"Yeah, I'm ready." I answered in a monotone voice.
"Hey, can you help me lift this window he asked," obviously pointing to a window.
I stood in position and then pushed upwards. A long plank stood there in front of us. Hovering in mid-air obviously being supported by two other windows. Mono crossed first in a T-pose, then me. We ventured into the next room, a large piano stood in the middle, tied to a rope. I moved my hand, soon noticing that Mono wasn't holding it anymore. I looked around before seeing Mono heading towards a lever and pulling it. Slowly but surely, the piano started to rise. Mono pulled it until he couldn't no longer, I braced myself, reading for impact. Down, crashed the piano which was now broken. I climbed into the piano, stepping on a few keys and making some noise. Both me and Mono jumped in it, causing it to fall through the floor and crash onto the floor beneath us. A gate, a vent and a door. Mono agreed to find the key while I wait for him. It took a few minutes before he had retrieved a key, which he gladly shoved into a door lock, unlocking it in the process and granting us access to the next room. There were two main things in it. A bitchy porcelain bully and a hammer. Both me and Mono intended to kill it. I snuck up on it, using my stealth to my advantage. My blood boiled as I violently smashed the bully's head into the floor before turning around to an apprehensive Mono which stood there, behind me in a still manner.
"Oh, sorry, my anger got the best of me." I said to him, trying to explain my aggressive behaviour to the slightly shocked boy.
"Guess I won't need this." He said throwing away the hammer which soon made contact with the ground.
I let out a slight giggle and took his hand. Wrapping it in mine and rubbing circles on it with my thumb as we set. He soon let go of it to pull out a drawer. I let out a small grunt of frustration before following him again. A staircase, a bunch of books and a box, which Mono pushed off. Which allowed me to climb a bookshelf. A vent and ladders. Me and Mono found ourselves in shock. There stood the Teacher playing an eerie tune on the piano. Allow me and Mono to do some mischief behind her back. A platform, a lever and a vent. I waited patiently for Mono as he crept closer and closer to the lever, which would allow me to cross the platform and get to the vent. He grabbed hold of the lever, pulling it down so that I could cross.
Silence. The women stopped playing for a moment, which caused both me and Mono to stop in our tracks, trying to not make a sound. She wrote on a piece of paper before continuing her so-called 'masterpiece.' Granting Mono the ability to once again work at the lever. This time leveling the platform to my level. Both me and him stop again, waiting for the Teacher to play again before resuming our unfinished work. Both Mono and I were able to cross and reach the vent. We pulled open the vent and pushed open another as the old women gave chase. She was only a few inches behind Mono, viciously snapping her rotten teeth at him. At the end the vent came a jump and a hole, I ran and caught myself. Waiting for Mono, preparing to catch his hand, which I did. Dragging him up through the hole and sliding of roof tiles before landing in a dumpster.
"Holy shit.' I mumbled, trying to catch my breath.
"Do you wanna find a place and settle down for tonight?" he asked me, earning a nod in response.
We walked down the gloomy streets of the city in awkward silence before I decided to break it.
"Hey, how come you always wear that paper bag? Can I see it?" I asked him, a curious expression written on my face.
"I- I don't like the way I look." he answered blankly.
"Can you show me? Please?" I begged, "C'mon it's that hard right?"
"Later." he mumbled as he dragged me inside a deserted building. I guess we're staying here for now.
A couch, more bookshelves and a few scattered blankets. I wasn't going to sleep on the floor, I don't reckon Mono would either. Unless we slept together, which would be pretty awkward. But, I do get to hug him."Hey Mono, can you show me your face now?" I pleaded.
"Fine, if you're that desperate." He said, grasping his bag, slowly lifting it up until it revealed his full face.
It was a perfectly normal, quite handsome face if I was honest. Why did he hide it? My face slowly turned red, making me look away.
"Yeah, I know. I look ugly." He muttered, about to put his bag back on.
"Don't! I- erm, I like it. It's very uh, handsome?" I said, before then looking away in embarrassment.
"Let's just sleep." Mono said, folding up his bag and place it in his pocket. "I'll just sleep on the floor I guess."
"No! It's ok, you can sleep with me." I accidentally yelled.
Me face grew red and so did Mono's.
"Alright." He whispered.
I was held in his warm arms, burying my nose into his stomach. Am I simping?
