it's been a couple of weeks since then and things are going amazing.
i've made some real friends and i can confidently say that cassie is an exact copy of me. i mean we're literally the same person, just different fonts. but, logan is getting on my nerves more than before. the dirty jokes and sexual remarks have not stopped, in fact that have sadly increased. and, gavin is positively gay. he's dating ron, the guy with the blue hair so i guess i was right after all.
"miss hayes, maybe you could keep up with the class." i'm in a small class of 15 so i guess it's easier for the teachers to pay more attention to their students, "as i was saying..."
my phone buzzes repeatedly in my bag, i sneakily grab it and look at all of my recent texts from cassie.
cassie: logan is a perv
cassie: never believe anything he says
cassie: he just lies and gets into your headbeverly: cas what are you talking about
cassie: he tried to get into my pants!!
cassie: and said he wanted me so bad
cassie: but of course he was lyingbeverly: i knew he was bad news
beverly: why do you think im such a bitch to him?cassie: he's just so tempting
cassie: i mean i've never chased after a guy in my life but something about him keeps pulling me inbeverly: guys like him are not worth it
cassie: you wouldn't know!
cassie: you've already met your soulmatebeverly:i guess but i've seen plenty of my closest friends get their hearts ripped out by guys like him
she doesn't respond after that. i sigh and turn my attention back to the front of the room. i don't understand why everyone just falls into his trap. he might be hand crafted by God himself but he's not worth it. he knows he looks good and uses it to his advantage. i hope one day it blows up in his face.

tonight is connor and i's monthly date night and i'm honestly dreading it. i've got a ton of homework to do but he wants to do this so bad. so, we're going to a fancy sea food restaurant for dinner on the east side.
i'm dressed in a silk black dress paired with black heels. my hair is curled and my lips are a dark wine red. connor whistles as soon as i leave our bedroom. he's wearing an all black suit and the rolex his dad bought him when he took over the family business.
we ride the elevator down to the garage and drive to the restaurant. it's far fancier than i honestly expected. the valet parks connors BMW for us and we walk in. there's dark lighting and waiters dressed in white long sleeved shirts and long black aprons with theirs hands behind their backs as they pass surrounding guests. it's mostly old people, and some sugar daddies with their sugar babies.
"reservation for sanders." the hostess nods and leads us to a two person table in a small quiet corner.
"your waiter will be right with you." she says before walking away.
"this place is amazing, babe." i say, grabbing connors hand across the table.
"i'm glad you think so. i wanted tonight to he special." i smile to myself before looking at the menu layed in front of us. everything here is over $50. i guess connor got money from his dad, "so, how's school been going?" he lightly smiles at me, giving his full attention.
"it's definitely going better than last year. the classes feel easier and more laid back." connor nods his head and starts typing on his phone.
he does this everytime we go out. he's always on his phone and making small talk, it's like he's not even there. i sigh and look out the window at the dark night.
"hello, my name is jessica and i'll be your waitress for tonight." connor puts his phone down, his eyes light up at the sight of the beautiful girl. of course he would. "what can i get you guys to drink?" connor looks to me, signaling for me to order first.
"do you guys have lemonade?" jessica nods her head, "then i'll have that." she looks over to connor, who's practically drooling over her.
"i'll have a nightline on the rocks."
"that's one of my personal favorites," he hands her his ID, "alright, i'll be right back with those." i bet you will.
connor looks me in the eyes and i melt all over again. i could never deny my love for him. he's just all i know and i'm totally fine with that.
he stands up and pulls something out of his pocket, "beverly hayes, you're the one person in this entire world who knows the true me. you get me. you're my other half," quickly other people around us start staring, "will you marry me?" he opens the little black box and a big bright diamond shines. i didn't think he would propose so fast but hey, i'm not complaining.
"of course i will." he places the ring on my finger, i stand up and he kisses me. the guests around us clap and go on with their meals.
i guess i'm getting married now.
—
"oh my gosh! it's beautiful!" cassie squeals as i show her the ring.
"i'd marry that man on sight if he gave me a ring like that ." gavin says, glaring over at ron who isn't even paying attention.
"yeah, i'm super excited. i'll make sure you guys are invited, too!" i quickly glance at logan, who doesn't even flinch when we make eye contact. i sigh and turn my attention back to cassie.
cas told me that her and logan were hanging out, having a study session when he suddenly tried to get into her pants. she told him no and he respected that but she was upset that he would try to do something like that.
"oh! i forgot to tell you! there's a party tonight, at the omega frat. you should totally come." emily squeals at me. i nod my head before looking down at my phone.
i haven't gone to a party since high school so it's about time. what's the worst that could happen?
