"ugh! you look so hot!" cassie squeals as i enter the crowded house. "come! come!" she grabs my wrist and drags me to a more quiet room, where the entire group sits.

"you made it!" gavin wraps an arm around me and has me sit down beside him.

"you look damn good." dan comments, i roll my eyes at him and continue looking around the room.

i'm wearing a black bodycon dress that hugs me in all of the right places. and don't worry, i told connor i was just going to take instagram pictures with my new friends. he completely bought it by the way.

"the party has arrived!" the familiar, deep voice booms through the room. all sorts of bottles of alcohol are set on the table in the middle of all of the crowded couches. logan makes eye contact with me before sitting down, "you gonna get anything, princess?" i roll my eyes and look at the table in front of me.

i've never been a drinker, not even in high school. my family has a long line of alcoholics and i don't want that life.

"nope." i give him short answer, he gives me that stupid smirk before putting his hand on emily's thigh, which she doesn't seem to mind it. i shutter my eyes. i think cassie notices because she nudges me with her shoulder. i shrug mine, "do they have to pretty much have sex in front of everyone?" i whisper in cas's ear. she slightly giggles looks back to them. emily is now straddling logan and kissing his neck.

"stare much?" gavin leans over to me. i look at him
with wide eyes.

"i just think it's rude to be doing that in front of everyone." he looks over at them and nods.

"true. but, my love, they'll be upstairs in a little girls bedroom having sex on a twin bed in the next 5 minutes, or so." very detailed there, gavin. i squish my eyebrows and look at cass, who just shrugs her shoulders.

soon enough, emily gets off of logan and leads him up the stairs. i guess gavin was right. "told you." he said, with the snarkiest smile.

"let's go dance!" cassie shouts over the music. i get up off of the couch and follow her to the 'dance floor'. beware by big sean comes on, i scream the lyrics at the top of my lungs in cassies face as we dance around together. soon enough random guys come up to us and start 'dancing'. more like having a seizure.

we try to move away but they just keep following us. i slowly stop dancing and finally just walk to the crowded kitchen, cassie follows. and so do the creepy guys. "you two are the hottest chicks we've seen in a while." the ginger says. as they say, there are hot gingers and gingers that look like ed sheeran. this one looks like ed sheeran.

"couldn't say the same about you." i let out. cassie snorts beside me, not even trying to hold in her laughter.

"hey! no woman speaks to me and my bro like that!" the short one says. gosh these guys have no style. i would tell you what they're wearing, but i'd like to spare you the second hand embarrassment.

"i doubt any woman speaks to you at all!" i shout over the music once again. the ginger gets in my face, acting all tough.

"there ain't nothin' stoppin' me from layin' my hands on you, right now!" the ginger yells in my face. his breath smells like ass and even in this terrible lighting i can see his greasy hair.

"i'd like you to see you try, babes." his face is full of anger, which honesty just brings a smile to
mine. he pulls his fist back, i can see the contemplation in his eyes.

"hey!" the oh-so familiar deep voice shouts. logan comes barging into the kitchen, which is full of people staring at us now, "you lay a finger on either of them, you will not live to see another day!" logan gets in his face, towering over the ginger.

"this bitch is cra-,"

"well that bitch could probably whip both of our tiny asses right here, right now!" the ginger and midget back down.

"sorry." the ginger murmurs.

"what was that? it's just hard hearing ugly people talk." his fists ball up at his sides, like he's arthur or something.

"keep walking." logan orders, they finally leave the kitchen. i blow them a kiss as they walk away, "are you high or something?" logan yells as soon as everyone's attention is back on something else's.

"no?" i turn my head to the side.

"you can't just talk to random guys like that! you never know what they're capable of doing!" i scoff and lick my bottom lip. he is not my father or brother, or even friend for that matter.

"sorry, dad." i emphasize. i look over at cassie, who looks like she's about to explode. i guess she's not over what he did, which i honestly don't blame her.

"i'm serious, beverly," the way he says my name is just-

wait. no. cannot go down that path. he is a terrible person who takes part in terrible actions. he is not my friend, nor is he a crush. logan is the opposite of what i need in my life. i mean i'm engaged for fucks sake.

"i'm just trying to help you." i shake my head side to side.

"aw, that's so sweet." i make my voice higher pitched. he rolls his eyes and finally looks me in the eyes, they're hazel. i never realized that before. they make me feel cold and captivated.

"whatever. next time i'll just let both of you get your shit rocked then." he walks away, grabbing a bottle of alcohol as he leaves the kitchen.

"that was totally badass, bev!" cas squeals. she wraps me in a tight hug, "you totally got under his skin!"

"well, maybe then he'll learn that i don't need help." i chuckle and look at the diamond on my ring finger.

i called my parents yesterday and told them that i was engaged to connor and they seemed more excited than i am.

90210 by travis scott starts blaring the speakers, the bass causing the entire frat house to shake. cassie grabs my wrist and we start on the dance floor again and this time no boys bother us.
