Four (The middle of the beginning)- Its a date then !
"Honey, your face is going to face palm into that bowl of cereal," Isabelle's dad said as he walked to the fridge.
Her eyes snapped open and she looked around. She was in the kitchen eating her breakfast. She'd almost fallen asleep.
"Didn't you sleep last night?" Her dad asked pouring himself a glass of orange juice.
"No. I'm just tired that's all,' she lied. "All the unpacking has drained me out."
The truth was, Isabella finished unpacking a little after midnight and after showering and drying herself up, when she was finally ready for bed, it was already quarter past two in the morning.
The minute she lay her head in bed, sleep engulfed her. But it wasn't for long because an hour later she was woken up by some unfamiliar noises. Like a group of boys whispering. It seemed to be coming from Sebastian's house.
I'm her half asleep state, Isabelle dragged her ass out of bed to look out the window. She saw three boys on Sebastian's front yard, one was blond and looked like one of the twins, either Paul or George. The other was Callum and the boy walking out of the house and towards the boys was Sebastian.
It was dark outside but there happened to be a lamppost on the sidewalk so she could make out who they were.
Callum and Paul or George were leaning against a motorcycle. There were two more bikes parked behind. They looked like they were in a playful argument.
When Sebastian got to them, they did the weird man handshake-then-hugg thing and finally, put on their helmets and got on their own bikes.
Soon the silence of the night was broken by the roaring of three motorbike engines. They drove off.
It was three in the morning. Where the hell were they going?
After that she got only two hours of sleep.
"Isabelle, you're falling asleep again," her dad said.
"No, no," Isabelle said opening her eyes for a second then closing them again. "I'm not sleeping I'm just blinking in very, very, slow motion."
"That's very attractive," her dad scoffed pulling the spoon out of his daughter's mouth. Isabelle forgot she was in the middle of eating her cereal.
"I think you should rest. You're new, the school won't mind of you skip. They'll think you're busy settling into the new house," he said and Isabelle's eyes snapped open.
"I'm new, that's why I can't skip school, dad. I already have a ton of work to catch up on because I joined so late. How can you say that?"
"You inherited the nerd trait from your mom, surely," her dad said. "Because when I was your age, I was the cool kid."
"The haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate and I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake. Shake it off " she started to sing.
"Oh please stop," he father said blocking his ears playfully.
She narrowed her eyes. "Don't you have work?"
"Oh right. I'm already running behind," he said finishing the last of his O.J and getting his car keys. He kissed Isabelle on the head. "Be safe. Love you."
"Love you too," she mumbled chewing on cereal.
She washed her bowl and spoon and grabbed her bag and started towards the bus. She recently turned seventeen and she'd still not gotten her driver's license.
