The End of the Beginning
Chapter 9: Ghosts from the Past
(A/N: I haven't proof read this, so pardon any errors)
Isabelle stumbled out of her bed in a panic. She took a few steps backwards. As tried to maintain her balance, she felt something on her ankles and before she knew it, she had tripped and was falling to the floor.
However, instead of feeling the hard carpeted floor of her room as she anticipated, she felt her butt hit something much softer.
"OOMPH-" came a strange, loud noise just as she fell. The rest of her body (that wasn't her butt) fell to the floor.
Callum shot up like lightning from the floor, "MY PEE!" he shouted, suddenly awoken from his sleep.
Isabelle, who lay on the floor like a starfish slowly lifted her head up, almost afraid of what she would see.
Her butt had landed with full force on Callum's stomach, who it seemed, had been sleeping on the floor after being kicked out of her bed by Sebastian the night before. Her torso, arms and legs dangled to the floor on each side of Callum's stomach.
Sebastian awoke with a start upon hearing Callum. "IT WAS GEORGE, NOT ME, NONNA!" he shouted.
"I need to pee!" Callum pleaded.
Isabelle, who was red from embarrassment softly muttered, "R-Right," and rolled to the side.
Callum groaned as the pressure on his bladder departed. He quickly stood up and sprinted to the toilet.
Isabelle's eyes followed Callum and once the door to the bathroom shut, she sighed. Still on the floor, she turned her head towards her bed to see what satan himself was upto.
Sebastian's head was lifted up and he had a dazed look on his face. He looked around sleepily as if trying to figure out where he was.
Finally he turned his head to the side and his grey, sleepy eyes locked with Isabelle's. He looked for a moment, his dark brown hair, messy and a light honey colour in the light from the sun peeking through the sheer curtains.
"Idiot," he mumbled before falling back onto her bed and resuming his position from earlier when he, correction, they were in bed together.
Isabelle's eyes narrowed at him and then they widened in realisation. "OH MY GOD!" Isabelle whisper-exclaimed. Sebastian and I slept in the same bed together. She felt her cheeks get warm. She banged her head on the floor out of sheer embarrassment. No no no no she thought to her self as the picture in the mind of them sleeping in bed together became vivid and she repeatedly banged her head. Thud thud thud thud thud.
"Um- what are you doing?" came Callum's voice as he emerged from the bathroom.
Before Isabelle could respond, she heard a knock on her bedroom door. Panic started to set in yet again. With wide eyes Isabelle looked at Callum and put a finger to her lip signalling him to keep quiet.
Callum's eyes went wide. And he nodded.
"Honey, are you up yet? You're going to be late for school," her father called from the other side of her door.
Just as Isabelle opened her mouth to reply, Sebastian beat her to it. "Yes, daddy. I'll be right down. I'm just shaving my gorilla-like hairy armpits," he said in an exaggerated feminine voice.
Isabelle put both hands over her mouth and her eyes widened in horror. Her heart beat wildly in her chest. What is this hooligan doing?
There was a slight pause before her dad said, "Are you feeling alright? You don't sound well."
