Part I (The Beginning of the beginning) -
Chapter 1 - SMACK THAT
"Oh balls", Isabelle groaned throwing her hands in the air.
It was her first day and she was lost in one of the million hallways of her new school. The bell which signalled the start of first period rang almost fifteen minutes ago which meant, Isabelle had aimlessly running around looking for her maths class for the past fifteen minutes.
She looked around and realised that she'd been running around in circles and she had already run through that hallway four times in the past ten minutes.
She was frustrated by this point.
Before this she had been homeschooled for the past three years. She had forgotten how big public schools are.
She blindly picked a direction and ran hoping it would get her to her class. She could have asked the office for directions and she had, more than seven times and by this point she had probably annoyed the people at the office and so she did not want to embarrass herself anymore. Isabella had never had a sense of direction. She got lost everywhere she went.
Her father would often make jokes about how she got lost as a child and wandered to his house and he adopted her because she couldn't find her way back home.
She ran and as she turned around the corner of the hallways, her body painfully slammed into what she assumed was a wall and soon she was lying flat on her stomach on the floor with the books all over the place. He navy blue skirt had ridden up to her waist exposing her legs and underwear.
"Kinky", a male voice said.
Isabelle, still on the floor, turned her head around to look at the source of the voice.
He was a boy. Roughly about her age looking down at her with an amused expression on his face.
Then he winked at her. And 'My God', she thought, did he look hot. But then she remembered something.
His earlier "Kinky" remark was probably in reference to her hot pink underwear which had the words "SMACK THAT" in bold white letters scrolled across her buttocks.
Isabelle blushed furiously when she realised that he'd seen her underwear. She quickly sat up, pulling her skirt down. She mentally cursed Michelle, her friend from back home for telling her to wear the underwear on the first day of school. She said it would bring her luck. It was her going away present and Isabella couldn't say no.
She knelt down and started to pick up the books and papers that fell out from her file. The boy bent down as well and started helping her. She couldn't bring herself to look at him. She was too embarrassed.
After she gathered her things, she quickly stood up and grabbed the papers the boy who was squatting in front of her handed her. She quickly mumbled a "thanks" and turned to walk away before she could embarrass herself any further.
But then she realised that she hadn't a clue where to go and that she was lost so she swallowed the little pride she had left and turned to look at the boy, the boy who had seen her underwear, to ask him for directions.
He was still squatting on the floor, looking up at her with a kind of fascination, like he was looking at someone from the circus. This time Isabella noticed that he had light grey eyes and dark brown hair and a sharp perfect jaw line and a perfect nose and pink lips and she was gawking and quite possibly almost drooling.
She also remembered that he had seen her underwear not too long ago and probably thought she was some kind of a whore because the underwear she was wearing looked like something a stripper would wear.
"Uh..." Isabelle started. "Thank you for helping me out and I'm so sorry for just body slamming you like that. See, it's my first day and I'm new to this place and I don't know where I'm supposed to go. I have this very bad sense of direction and I'm lost and I asked the office already like ten times and I didn't want to annoy them and make an idiot out of myself and I also don't always wear that kind of underwear. It was a parting gift from a friend. Michelle... oh you probably don't want to hear about that and God, I'm rambling aren't I?" she nervously laughed.
She looked down at her feet for a while then she faced him. He looked at her with a small smile on his face. Like he were trying not to laugh or grin.
She sighed, "I'll keep it short, can you tell me where the Math class is?"
"Straight down that way, then turn left then up the stairs and the first door to the right's the one", he said. His voice, she thought was deep and found it awfully sexy.
"Oh. Okay. Right then left and up. Okay. Got it", she said like she were trying to memorise it. "Thanks", she muttered and turned to look for the class.
Despite having gotten the directions, Isabelle still managed to get lost for a good five minutes before finally making it to her class. With only twenty minutes left for her next class, Biology to begin, she stood outside the door of her Maths class, her hand on the door knob. She took a deep breath, she was nervous for her first class in her new school in a new hometown.
She turned the knob on the door, swung the door open and stepped into the classroom.
All eyes averted their gaze to look at her. She hated this part the most. The teacher gave her a questioning look so Isabella walked to her and handed her the note which she received in the office earlier this morning which stated that she was a new student.
"Why don't you introduce yourself?" the teacher told her.
"Um...I'm Isabelle and I've just moved here. I hope I fit in well", she awkwardly said. The classroom filled with whispers as they stared at her.
Feeling uncomfortable, she looked down at her white vans.
"We'll make sure you do fit in and have a great time", the teacher said. "Take a seat".
As Isabelle walked towards an empty seat, the students diverted their gaze away from her and got back to whatever it was that they were doing except for a certain boy at the back of the class.
He just couldn't seem to take his grey eyes off of her.
