It's been 5 months. All I ever feel was nothing. I'm not happy anymore. I don't feel a spark anymore but everyone say the same thing. We've been together for 5 years and they always say that it's a waste if we ever break up. But what about ending everything because you don't feel the same way anymore?
"Won? You okay there? You're zoning out" it was Jihoon, his friend who is also the owner of the company he's working at. "So as I said earlier, tomorrow will be the start of the discussion about the dance academy I was thinking about opening up. Do you want to take over?"
"Yeah sure, I don't have anything on my account so I think I'll give it a shot" Wonwoo answered and Jihoon then arranged his papers in front of him and stood up.
"Get yourself together. I am worried about you. If you need to talk, I'm here. I'm also your friend" Jihoon stated and Wonwoo smiled weakly at him. "Come on. Tell me what's bothering you?"
"How do you manage to balance your time when it comes to Soon?" Wonwoo asked and Jihoon sat down, knowing where their conversation will lead to.
"Oh me? Soonyoung is a very understanding man. I mean, I sometimes feel that I'm not happy anymore and I want to shut everyone off including him but I accepted him in the first place to have someone I can lean on to and for him to also have someone to rely to. He helps me get out of that stage because I always tell him what I feel. We're both busy but we make sure we have time for each other even if it's late at night or early in the morning" Wonwoo was jealous that Jihoon can easily talk about his struggles to his boyfriend.
"I don't feel anything about him anymore. I don't know if I'm just in a slump but isn't it our partners should be the reason of our happiness? Our comfort? I don't feel it, Hoon. I don't think I can stay like this" Wonwoo answered and shook his head. He wanted to cry but he can't.
"Your feelings are valid, Won and I can't tell you what to do because we have different partners and situations. If you really feel that way, no one will blame you. But if you're not really into it anymore, why are you staying? What are you waiting for? You can always break up with him if that's what you want but what's stopping you? I don't want to say that 5 years with him is a waste but I know you're still expecting something from him" Jihoon was right. Partly, he's still waiting for a change. That's why he can't let go.
"The feelings I have for him, Hoon is still here. It will never fade but I don't think he's also enjoying this. I can feel he's being distant and I can't blame him. Ever since I felt like this, I am also making myself busy to avoid him. I don't know what to do" Jihoon then rubbed Wonwoo's back and smiled at him. Warmly.
"You know what? I'll let Minghao take over the academy. Make time with your boyfriend. I'm giving you at least a week of vacation. If that didn't work, then end it"
After their conversation, Wonwoo already packed his things inside his office and locked the doors before leaving. Maybe Jihoon is right, he should spend time with his boyfriend first before deciding to end everything.
As soon as he got himself in the parking lot, he saw a familiar guy, on his phone, smiling over something.
"Jun? What are you doing here?" he asked and gave his boyfriend a peck on his lips. "I thought you're busy with Soon?"
"I thought that I should pick you up and maybe have some dinner at home. It's been so long ever since we had a date. I mean, it's already late for a date outside so I decided to just cook and have a date in our house" Wonwoo can see that Jun was nervous.
Is he really planning on doing this for so long? Why is he acting weird?
"You're acting weird, Jun. Gosh we've been together for five years. Why are you so nervous?" Wonwoo asked and chuckled at him.
"It's just.... It's been so long that I spent time with you without being busy or anything. I'm nervous that you might leave me because of that"
Wonwoo felt like crying. He never thought that he's making his boyfriend like this. Jun's blaming himself for not giving him time because of work but what his boyfriend didn't know is that, Wonwoo's the one to blame for this.
"You know, don't you? I mean you can feel me being distant. I'm sorry Jun. I'm sorry for making you feel that way. I know I don't communicate with you more than I should but please don't blame yourself, yeah? I'm not gonna leave you. I love you" then Wonwoo caressed Jun's face and the older melted into the touch.
"I'm sorry that it has to be that way but I promised you that no matter what problem, I'm here for you, Won. So please don't hesitate to tell me what's bothering you. I'm your boyfriend and it's my responsibility to comfort you" Jun stated and Wonwoo gave him another kiss.
"I promise, Jun. Now let's go because I'm really starving"

When they arrived inside their house, Wonwoo was amazed at how his boyfriend set up the dining area. It's not much but the dim lights and candles gave a romantic vibe and he's literally bursted into tears when he saw a box and a ring on the table.
"I don't want to be wasting time, I want you to accept me right before we eat. I promise that whatever answer, I will accept it, Won but of course I'm hoping you'll answer yes to my question" Jun stated and Wonwoo can't believe what is happening.
"Your ring is so gorgeous, Minghao. Is that new?" Wonwoo asked his co-worker and his friend, grabbing his hand, scanning the ring.
"Mingyu proposed to me last night. We all started dating in high school and everyone else is getting married so we decided to go on another level since we want a family together" Minghao happily asked. Wonwoo is really jealous. He hoped that time, Jun will propose to him but no luck. They don't have time to each other.

"Wonwoo? Help me please. Jihoon is your bestfriend and I'm struggling what ring to buy. I'm so whipped for the guy that I'm nervous about the idea of me proposing. What if he doesn't want to accept me?" Soonyoung was ranting over the phone and Wonwoo was just so happy for his friend that finally, they're also getting married.
My ring finger is still empty. I wonder if Soonyoung told Jun about this....
"I know Jihoon will love everything you'll give him. That guys is also whipped for you so you don't have to worry about him not accepting you because he will accept you, Soon. Now go buy him a ring that suits him best"
"W-what are you talking about, Jun?" Wonwoo was speechless and he can't hide the fact that all of his life with Jun, this is the only thing he wanted. To have assurance.
"Will you marry me, Jeon Wonwoo?" he asked and Wonwoo covered his mouth in surprise. "Now I can finally say why I'm nervous awhile ago. I was planning to do this for a month now but I can't see a perfect timing"
"This ring is so beautiful, Jun. I mean, of course! Yes! I'm gonna marry you!"
With that, the older pulled Wonwoo by his waist and captured his lips perfectly. He never imagined waking up by his side calling him his husband but now everything's happening. Finally, he's going to marry the man he ever dreamed of. Jun was really scared that Wonwoo might break up with him if ever and he'll be too late to ask him that's why today, he made everything extra special.
"You don't know how much you make me happy, Won. I'm really sorry that you have to feel that way because of me. I promise to make you the happiest person alive. I am not perfect but I will try my best to give you the life you dreamed of. I love you so much, Won"
"I love you too, Jun. I apologize for making you scared like that. I promise too, to be here for you and to be the best partner you'll ever have"
