The Help- Niall Horan Story

Chapter 7

The next morning, Maddie was still grinning like a Cheshire cat. She was up and ready before anyone else in the flat. Obviously her mother was hung over in her room and Maddison’s siblings were just getting ready for school when they noticed her facial expression.

“Good night?” Isabel asked, pulling on her coat.

“Good? Great more like” She laughed “Now get to school” She pushed her out the door.

She skipped up the drive and entered the mansion. Mr Horan was at work already and left a list of jobs for her to do on the refrigerator. The first being to wake Niall. He wasn’t told about their date last night and never will be. Niall was not to ‘fool around with the help’, as he’d been told as soon as Maddie stepped through the front door.

Maddie opened his bedroom door slowly to find him still sleeping under his duvet. He looked all peacefully and innocent, not like during the daylight. Swiftly opening the curtains, the sunlight hit his blue eyes causing him to groan.

“Linda, go away” He mumbled.

“It’s not Linda” His lips turned into a smile when he heard her soft voice; however his eyes were still closed. Maddie decided to take matters into her own hands. She hopped on the bed and started jumping. “Get up” She chanted five times before Niall pulled her down so she fell into his arms. He was only in his pyjama bottoms and his body was warm from the duvet.

“Good morning to you too” He smiled, finally opening his eyes.

“Come on, you have to get up or I’m not doing my job” Maddie went to get up but he pulled her down again and leaned over her. Without hesitation his lips were pressed together like last night but more passionately. A few minutes later is when they pulled away.

“I hope you enjoyed yesterday, I’d love to take you out again” He beamed, getting off the bed and heading to his wardrobe.

“I did…but I can’t just relay on my 14 year old sister to look after Poppy and Lewis” She sighed, sitting on the edge of the bed, playing with a strand of hair. “And we shouldn’t be seeing each of either, I could get fired.”

“You won’t get fired, Mads. He won’t find out, he’s never here. Do you not like me?” He knew he could get her to see his point of view with his mind games. He used them on many girls before but she was too oblivious to see when his face turned almost puppyish.

“…of course” His face automatically turned back to his smug grin.

“Great because theirs a party tonight and Im bringing you along”

“As staff?”

“No silly as my date” He laughed.

“So you’re going out again tonight?” Isabel asked, sitting on the kitchen counter while Maddie cooked them dinner.

“Yes he invited me to a party. Its rude to say no, Is” She explained.

“You don’t even like his friends” She argued.

“It’s not the point, he wants me there. I won’t be out long and if theirs a problem just call me.” She sighed, dishing up the food. “I’ve gotta get ready” She quickly rushed off to her shared bedroom.

Right on time Niall was there at the front door. He was dressed in a plain white tee and grey jeans, topped off with a denim jacket. Maddie had seen what the girls at these parties wore and they were most defiantly out of her comfort zone. But Niall had texted her to blend in with the others and honestly she didn’t really want to be seen different. She put on her gold sequin dress and studded heels. Her hair was curled and lips full and red. She walked into the living room to see Niall playing with Poppy and Lewis while Isabel was sat back at the kitchen counter, not very impressed. Ever since he had been around, she didn’t like the time he took away from Maddie, although Maddie kept reassuring her.

They got to the party and Niall took her hand in his to show everyone she was with him. Maddie got a few lustful looks from the lads at the party which she wasn’t sure how to react to. He handed her a drink while he downed his beer and pulled her over to his friends. Girls looked him up and down and flirted with him most of the night which he didn’t mind at all. Although Maddie had enough and went to sit outside on the porch. She still hadn’t finished her first beer as she wasn’t a party sort of girl. She started to wonder why Niall liked her as they we’re two different people when she was disturbed from her thoughts.

“Goodnight Nialler, nice seeing you again” A female voice said. Maddie still stared at the road when she felt him sit next to her.

“Hey, Princess. What are you doing out here alone?” He was obviously drunk and his cheek was covered in lipstick. She was confused…we’re they together or not? This is another reason why she didn’t want to get pulled into his games but he had a spell on her, she was wrapped around his little finger.

“I’ll see you on Monday” She said, getting up and walking down the driveway. Until he span her around and pressed their lips together again…the third time now. She snapped back to reality and pulled away. “What are we doing?” she asked.

“Kissing” He laughed. God she loved his smile and laugh.

“I meant…us?” His face went all serious and he looked deep into her eyes, making her melt.

“Id like you to be my girlfriend” He smiled.

“Id like that too”
