Elena

It's been a week since I went to the beach with my family and Benny's family. We've been hanging out a lot and so have our families.

Tomorrow was going to be 4th of July then in about a month school and I would start my sophomore year...great...🙄.

This summer went by really fast. I would go to the sandlot with Benny and play all day with him and the sandlot guys. I got closer with my Jimena and Daniela. Then Alex and my sister started dating and so did Daniela and Miguel which made me happy because Miguel's last relationship was just...how do I say...really complicated.

The only ones who weren't dating were Jimena and Oscar. Us being adoring and loving siblings to them, we tried to set them up but it just didn't work.

Then my door opens, "Hey mija get ready because remember it's ur cousin Tito's birthday." "Oh ok mama I'll be down in a sec." My mom nods and closes the door.

I get up from my bed and go to my closet to find an outfit. (Outfit below)I put on a cropped white spaghetti strap and some jean shorts. The dodgers were going to be playing today and my cousins birthday was dodger themed so then I put on my royal blue dodger jersey and just put it on top without buttoning it. I put on some white socks and my AF1s then I went to my vanity to do my hair. I decided to do a Barbie pony. I put on some makeup and went downstairs.

"Mija there you are, I told you to be ready an hour ago." My mom says. "Don't ask me ask my baby hairs." I said pointing to my head. She laughed, "alright can you put this tray outside?" "Oh ya sure."

I walk outside and everything was all set up really nice. We had a white and blue balloon garland above the candy table and around 6-7 tables and each table fit 6 people. I put the tray in the table with the other food and walked back inside. I go up to my room and turn on the radio. '𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘵' , 𝘣𝘺 𝘐𝘤𝘦 𝘊𝘶𝘣𝘦 started playing. I look out of my window and I had the best view ever. I live in the back room upstairs and we live like in a hill side neighborhood so there's just dirt going on for like 150 feet then there's a hill going down. (Photos above during day and night)

I then hear my door open. I turn to see Benny. "Hey what are you doing hermosa?" "Nothing just looking out the window and seeing the view. What are you doing her early? It's barely 11 and the party doesn't start till 4?" "Well I just came to spend time with you before I meet the rest of your family." "Oh ok well wanna watch a movie?" He nods and plops down on my bed. I let out a small laugh and cuddle next to him.

"Alright what movie do you wanna watch?" "Um wanna watch 'Boys N the Hood?' "Sure" I get up and put the DVD in the DVD player. Then I lay back down. We watched the movie until I hear little snores. I turn and see Benny asleep. I turn off the tv and take a nap as well.

Marcela's POV (Mom)
"Mija?" As I open the door I see Benny and my Elena sleeping peacefully. "Aww que lindos." (Aww how cute) I didn't know if I should wake them up or I shouldn't. When I saw them both I wanted to cry because in a couple months Elena would turn 15 and when you have your main chambelan it's like handing her hand to marriage in our culture. "Mama?"

Elena
I wake up to see my mom in the door frame. "Mama?" "Oh mija ur awake ya van aser las 4 so go outside already because people are already coming. (It's almost 4)" "Oh ok." She then walks out and closes the door.

"Benny? Wake up?" "Mmm 5 more minutes." Benny says half asleep. "Come on the party is gonna start." "Ugh fine." He then sits up and fixes his hair a bit.

We walk outside and see my tias and tios outside and my little cousins running around. I walk Benny towards my tias and grandma. "Tia Rosalia, Tia Victoria, and Tia Rosa?" They all turn around. "I'd like you guys to meet Benny, es mi novio." "Hola mijo como estas-" and then my aunt vicky was cut off by my aunt Rosa. "Vicky talk to him in English I don't think he speaks Spanish." My Tia Rosa says. "Oh no I do speak Spanish and estoy muy vien." "AYYY MIJO NO ERES UN GRINGO COMO EL OTRO." Then my aunt Rosa hugs him. Then he looks at me confused and I mouth to him, 'I'll tell you later.' My Tia pulls away from the hug then he goes and hugs my Tia Rosalia and my Tia Vicky. "Ayy niño querido tu si eres bueno por mi Lenita chiquita. I can't wait to see you as her main chambelan." "Huh?" Then he looks at me. "Oh grandma not yet we still need to ask his parents." "Oh ok well introduce him to your tios." I gulp because I know my tios are gonna ask him questions. I turn to see Benny look terrified as well.

I walk over, "Tio Manuel, Tio Hector, and Tio Jose?" They turn and just stand there in shock. "Y quien eres tu?" My tio Manuel asks in a stern voice. "Um Tio? This is-" "no I wanna hear him talk for himself." Benny looks at me then back to my tios. "Hi I'm Benny. Mucho gusto." He then takes out his hand for them to shake it. My tios look at each other and smile then they shake his hand. "Good thing you ain't no gringo." "Um so he's my novio.." "we're fine with it because at least he's no gringo. Welcome to the family mijo." My tio hector says while patting his back. "So quieres?" My tio Jose asks while holding a beer out for Benny. "Oh no thank you I'm too young to drink." "Good answer. Now go away because us ADULTS are drinking." We both walk away and go sit down to eat.

Hours pass by and more and more family and close friends come we all had fun and ate cake and did all kinds of fun things.

Then it was around 3am and everyone was leaving and my mom and dad were going out and so were Oscar, Jimena, Daniela, and Miguel with the Benny's parents to my tia's house.

"Alright both of you are gonna stay home so I don't want a grandchild just yet." My mom says while pointing to me and Benny. I laugh then say, "don't worry you won't have one till years later." She then laughs and they all leave.

We watch a movie until me and Benny hear some noises. Me and Benny look at each other confused and terrified. We both walk out the room quietly and then we start hearing more noise coming from my sister's room. Benny and I look at each other and open the door.

" OH MY FUCKIN GOD WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE?!?!" I yell. My sister and Alex were doing 'it'. "CLOSE THE DOOR!!!"

Benny slams the door. We then go to the living room and just sit there in disgust and shocked. Jasmine and Alex come downstairs.

"You both have some explaining to do." Benny says. "Why are you both here?" Jasmine asks. "Well because mom said we were home alone?" "Well next time knock." Alex says. "WELL NEXT TIME LET US KNOW YOUR HERE OR MAYBE CHECK THE HOUSE IF SOMEONE IS HERE!" Benny yells. I start laughing and the 3 of them give me a death stare. "😶😳sorry..." "well we're going out so we'll see you both later and don't do anything?" "Oh trust me we won't because we're not like you both." I snap back. Jasmine rolls her eyes and they leave.

Benny and I go back to our room and put on a movie. "Do you think they wore protection?" I ask. "I don't know I hope because I don't want to be an uncle yet." "Ya same." I yawn. "You tired amor?" "Ya but I wanna look out the window." We both get up and walk towards the window and turn off the lights in my room so the only lights shining are the city lights coming from the window. Then I start falling asleep. I get up so I can change.

"Where you going?" "Ima change to my pajamas." "Oh ok. Do u have some clothes too?" "Ya my brother should have some because you both are kinda the same size or I think he has some clothes that don't fit him." I go to my brothers room and find some black and white plaid pajamas. They didn't fit him anymore but they looked like they would fit Benny. I also grab a white T-shirt and walk out the room.

"Here." I toss him the clothes. "Thanks. Where's the bathroom?" "Oh down the hall." He nods and walks out. I remembered I also had some pants like that so I change to some black and white plaid pj pants and put on a white over sized T-shirt since it was cold.

He walks in and see me in my outfit. "So we're matching today?" He smirks. "Ya why?" "Nothing it's just you look cute." "Thank you Benito. Be right back ima take off my makeup and let my hair down because my forehead hurts so much." He laughs then I walk out.

I brush my teeth, take off my makeup and let my hair down and brush it. I walk back in my room and Benny is sleeping on my bed. I smile then walk towards the bed and close the door and cuddle next to him. We cuddled for a bit until we both fell asleep.
