Chapter 17
Rain's P.O.V
I woke in the morning to the beautiful scent of Annabelle. I burried my face deeper into her neck, enjoying the moment.
I feel her move a little as she snuggles closer to me in her sleep.
Suddenly there's a loud beeping noise and Annabelle and I jump right up in bed, backing into the wall.
I see Lucas hit the thing that was noising and the sound stopped.
I look down at Annabelle and see her breathing hard, staring at the floor in shock.
I hear Lucas yawn and look to see him sitting up and stretching.
"Mornin." He says getting up and going towards the bathroom, gathering clothes as he went.
Annabelle looks up at me. "Time to get up." She says moving away from me to get off the bed.
I reach out and pull her back to my chest. "How do you know it's time to get up?" I ask confused. She hasn't even looked at the time.
"Oh" She exclaims looking at me. "That noise was an alarm clock. It's used to wake you up in the morning."
I feel so stupid not knowing what a lot of things are. I know for a fact that if Annabelle hadn't of come with me to this school, I would have forgotten how to say anything. She is definitely my rock, I always look to her for anything I'm not sure of.
Annabelle tries to get out of bed on her own but I pull her back. "You can't go walking around on your leg."
"Rain, I'm fine. It doesn't hurt nearly at all."
"Nearly."I repeat looking at her. "The doctor said to keep off it for at least two weeks."
"Ok." She conceded.
I hop out of bed and pull her up with me.
"Breakfast first?" She asks looking at me.
"Yeah." I nod. I hope we're allowed to eat breakfast here.
We head out to the kitchen, where two very drowsey looking boys sit eating bowls of cereal.
They grumble a good morning and turn back to eating. Annabelle and I look at each oher.
"Can we have cereal?" Annabelle asks in a quite voice.
"Mmmh. Sure." Says Daniel, groggy.
I grab two bowls and Annabelle grabs the spoons. I get the cereal, she gets the milk.
I pour in the breakfast cereal and start putting it away and put the milk away when Annabelle has poured it.
I support her as we step to the table and we sit down and start eating.
The two boys leave the table as Lucas comes in all cheery and dressed to eat breakfast.
We finish and head to our room to change. I take my clothes to the bathroom and change into a pair of blue jeans, a plain t and a dark blue checked shirt.
When I took off the t-shirt I had worn to bed, I saw all the scars criss-crossing along my back. They looked horrible, the raised skin and white lines.
I knocked on the bathroom door when I was done and heard Annabelle say she was ready.
I walk across the room, taking in the the light purple string strapped dress with a light black hoody inside it with a pair of black tights and little black shoes (pumps).
I picked her up bridle style and brought her to the bathroom to brush our teeth.
When we were done we headed out and met the guys in the living room.
