Chapter 14
Annabelle's P.O.V
As we exited the jet I looked around to see that we were outside the school altogether. There was a huge wall surrounding the school that we can see through the massive wrought iron gates that had a werewolf head in the middle.
As we opened the gate the head split in half. I was getting more anxious by the second.
I was now the only girl in over a hundred mile radius.
I keep wondering what will happen, if I'll be good in school or what the students will think of me.
They'll probably ignore me.
I hope they take well to Rain. I'd hate if he got hurt.
I can't stop thinking of what could go wrong. If you lived your whole life being put down that's just how you see. Well in my case anyway.
I think Rain is the same but he got the worse end of the stick.
We'd made it to the steps in front of the huge oak doors. Everything looked very impressive so far.
Rain and I took in a big breath and then let out some quite laughter. He then pushed open the doors and we saw a long hallway that was empty.
To one side there was an open space where the reception was. We walked over but there was no one there.
I looked at the door behind the desk and Rain leaned in to get a better look.
Suddenly the door opened and the two of us jumped, Rain going back slightly.
"Hey you two, nice to see you again." Spoke Tom in a friendly, welcoming voice.
Rain gave a little wave of acknowledgement.
"The principal and I are going to need some time to sort out your timetable so you can choose your subjects and everything." Says Tom just as a tall man comes out, giving me an annoyed stare.
I shrank into Rain's shoulder, hoping he wasn't going to send me 'home' or just kick me out the door.
As you can see I'm not good under judgemental looks. I knew I'd be terrified here but as long as I have Rain and he needs me, or wants me around I'll be ok. I hope.
"I'm guessing you both want to be in all the same classes, so let's start." Says Tom excitedly.
Half an hour later we had gone over everything besides English. We were doing all the same subjects and trying out honours in them.
"Annabelle you might be able to do the honours English if you work very hard because I spoke to the woman that was teaching you to read and she said you're a very quick learner."
The principal looked up surprised at Tom's words. He looked at me and his eyes weren't harsh like before.
"Now, Rain you're a different story because you've just learned to talk and all." Tom said, voice holding sympathy. "I'm afraid you'll have to do the ordinary level. That's the only class you won't have with Annabelle."
Rain nodded. I looked at him and moved so my lips were by his ear.
"You're not stupid; they know you just learned how to speak and the higher level would over whelm you."
He turned his head to me and we kissed for less than a second. "You always know just what to say." He whispered to me.
I leaned back again and saw a happy look on Tom's face and the principal role his eyes.
"You're going to be staying in room 94 with three other members of the pack. You should probably tell them your situation so you don't have to hide from them." Tom says looking at us with more sympathy. I got what he was saying about hiding, I'll have to see what Rain thinks.
