I was running low on food, energy, and hope.

The little Skull Kid had been leading me through the dark, twisted, sea of tree's for what now seemed like hours, but there was no sign of definite progress.

The longer I followed, the darker my surroundings became. It felt like we were going deeper into the forest then closer to it's border.

At first, it was nice having a companion alongside me, even if it was too focused to actually communicate. Just having a living being around again comforted me.

But the night got colder, the darkness became darker, the minutes became hours, and I was beginning to feel more and more doubtful.

I was afraid of confronting the little Skull Kid, in case I hurt it's feelings. I wouldn't want it to become upset because it thought I didn't trust it.

The little guy was already being so kind, and seemed to enjoy helping out, so I decided to be a bit more patient, and enjoy the time I had to reflect.

I closed my and I'm attempt to recall a happy moment.

When upset, we are blinded by painful thoughts and emotions that keep our joy locked away. But by calling to mind the little things in life that make us happy, we find it easier to block our sorrows, and let the joy spread freely through us once more.

I smiled.

And as I did, all of my troubles and doubts melted away instantly.

I remembered...

A familiar giggle echoed through my head, as my focus fell upon a young girl with short, green hair.

A wide smile spread across her face.

"Ah yes, it seems Mr. Sleepyhead has finally awakened from his excessively long slumber. The poor guy went to bed late, the results being...fairly obvious."

 There is a short pause, and she continues;

"Man, it's been like, 7 days..."

I stay silent, still half asleep.

 "He also missed story time..."

Now, I am fully aware of the situation.

"WHAT!? "

I fall out of bed with a loud thump. She starts laughing and walks over to helps me up.

 "Oh, Saria...it's just you..."

She frowns with a hurt look displayed on her face.

"Only me? What is that supposed to mean!?"

I take her seriously, too oblivious to see she is clearly holding back laugher.

"Oh, sorry! That's not what I ment-"

She only stares, causing me to pause, and start chuckling.

 "Oh..."

She only shakes her head with a sneaking glimmer in her eyes.

"Don't worry Link, it's fine. You are my little man, and that's how it will be for the rest of time."

I can't help but laugh at the comment.

"I know, that's what you tell me nearly everyday... "

Her smile only widens.

"I just want you to always remember."
