Waking up at 5:30 in the morning for training was one thing Clarke had not missed in the infirmary. Octavia had to shake her awake because she managed to sleep through all of their alarms going off.
"Come on, you need to get changed fast I'll make your bed for inspection." Octavia urged Clarke along pulling her out of bed.
They managed to pull it off just in the nick of time all standing in position at the end of their beds when Lexa came in for inspection at 5:45. She looked them all over and Clarke noticed she paused in front of her. She met Lexa's green eyes and she could tell she was being studied. Lexa was probably trying to determine if she was actually okay or if they had let her go from the infirmary too soon.
"Let's run." Lexa said turning away from Clarke and heading out the door.
The run left Clarke feeling back the way she had the first day. She could keep up but it sucked to exert herself that much after not exercising for a few weeks. She hung back a little and Luna slowed down to match her pace as they trailed slightly behind.
"How are you feeling?" Luna asked.
"Like I haven't exercised in a month." Clarke said breathlessly.
"It'll come back faster than you think." Luna assured her.
"I hope so, I was finally getting in shape before..." Clarke trailed off looking at the trees around her wondering if any of them were the one that had knocked her out. She couldn't really remember where they had been anymore.
"You okay?" Luna questioned noticing Clarke stumble on a branch.
Clarke righted herself and reminded herself to pay attention to where she was going not the trees, "Yeah I'm fine."
Lexa didn't make them run as long as usual and Clarke suspected she had done that to allow Clarke to ease back in which she was grateful for. The workout wasn't as bad as she thought it would be, they were doing arms and she didn't have the reduce the weight from what she had been at before by much.
After morning workout they all went to breakfast and headed to the sparring gym for hand-to-hand combat. On their way to the room Lexa pulled Clarke aside.
"You are going to work with me today, no active sparring yet." Lexa informed her before they walked in and she led her over to the area with the punching bags.
Clarke was a bit relieved. She hadn't gotten good at hand-to-hand yet before and the weeks off couldn't have helped. She needed some practice before she went back into it live.
Octavia and Raven were sparring Raven making so many rapid movements that Octavia was having trouble anticipating them. However, Raven was getting tired much faster so if Octavia could just hold on she would probably have it. After a few more minutes Raven was tired from wildly flailing her limbs at Octavia and Octavia took the opportunity to quickly dominate her, pinning her to the floor in seconds. Raven did always say she was much better with technology.
"Okay, time to get to work." Lexa cleared her throat and Clarke turned around. Lexa was wearing the pads on her hand and directed Clarke through some punching patterns.
All through the workout Lexa was checking on Clarke's head asking if she needed to take a break. It made her wonder if Lexa was normally like this. She didn't see the commander as one to worry, but that's what she seemed to be doing over Clarke.
Clarke sat down in her usual seat next to Luna. The two seats across from them were empty so Octavia and Raven hadn't arrived yet.
Right when Clarke was about to take a bite of her sandwich Raven burst through the dining hall doors out of breath looking majorly disheveled with Octavia on her heels looking equally as disheveled. Raven practically ran into the table looking at us with eagerness in her eyes.
