29. Angel

Ravens eyes started watering "I need to rest guys.. I need to think about this..

She then ran out of the house and went back home.

Harlow threw his hands in the air "look at what you did McCray.."

McCray gasped "What? Its something she should already be expecting.."

Harlow widens his eyes and points at the door "obviously not man!"

McCray plops himself on the couch "whatever man.. she will hopefully be fine tommorow.."

Harlow sighs "hopefully."

The next day they go to school. Harlow walked with McCray and immediately looked for Raven.

While searching there was an announcement over the intercom about Prom.

After the announcement ended McCray quickly looked at Harlow.

"Do you plan to go to prom this year?" He asked

Harlow sighed and nodded "I want to go with Raven.."

McCray laughed "well damn.."

Harlow looked at him quickly "what.."

McCray tilted his head "I was thinking of going with her as well.."

Harlow smiled "not if I get to her first..."

McCray smirks "sounds like a challenge then..."

McCray quickly turns around and starts running "im gonna find her first!"

Harlow smiled "oh hell no you arent!"

Moments later as Harlow was running he ran straight into Raven making her books drop all over the floor.

"Really Harlow!" She yells

Harlow quickly bent down and scrambled, grabbing her books. He stood up and gave them to her.

"Look Harlow I thought about it and I think McCray might have a point.." she says

Harlow's mood quickly changed from high to low. He knew he couldn't ask her to prom at this time.

He then looks up seeing McCray running towards them.

"Shit.." Harlow says

Once McCray gets there he immediately notices their mood. "She say no or something?" He asks

Harlow widens his eyes and shook his head as Raven looked at McCray confused.

McCray looks at Harlows gesture and doesn't speak.

Raven then spoke "I think you might have a point McCray."

McCray smiled "oh.." he laughed and scratched the back of his neck.

Raven then looked at both of them skeptically "why were yall running?"

Harlow and McCray look at eachother and shake their heads. "No reason.." Harlow says

McCray then adds "no reason yet..."

Raven squinted her eyes then walked away "well let's go to class then."

Later that day as Harlow and McCray sat in McCray's car he spoke. "I'll let you ask her.. properly though."

Harlow looked at McCray confused "you'll let me?"

McCray sighs "well you got to her first.. there's no denying that... unless you want me to ask her..."

Harlow immediately shook his head "nope im taking her!" He then smiled  "what will you do then.."
