22.Less Threats

Once they get back to Harlows house they check the time.

"Jesus Christ its 4:30 in the morning" Harlow says

McCray laughs "well it looks like we aren't going to school tommorow."

Harlow sighs "I guess not."

The next day Harlow and McCray get woken up from a knock on the door.

"Go home!!" McCray yells throwing one of his shoes at the door

"Its me Raven!" She says through the door

Harlow immediately gets up and opens the door. "Whats up Raven." He says scratching the back of his head

As Raven walks in she looks around "what were you guys doing yesterday?"

McCray smirks "what do you think we were doing.." he winks

Raven laughs "no really though."

She looks at Harlow and lifts an eyebrow

Harlow sighs and hesitates as he knows he is going to be screwed "we were trying to find the key..."

"Oh shit. You're dead.." McCray quietly says

Raven widens her eyes angrily "you let him know without me?"

Harlow backs up surprised, she isnt mad that he even told him but that he did it without her.

"We were in a tight spot and had no time to do it with you.." Harlow replies

Raven looks at McCray and back at Harlow "so you technically don't need me then.. huh?"

McCray stands up and walks towards them with his arms out "woah woah there princess we didnt say that.."

Raven shoves McCray "stop calling me princess!"

McCray smiles and clears his throat.

Harlow stops McCray from continuing and speaks "no... let me explain."

Raven rolls her eyes the. folds her arms "I guess I did ask.."

Harlow sighs in relief and looks at McCray who starts walking towards the cereal.

He looks back at Raven. "I thought I could snag the key from Mrs. Glendale as she has tons.. I thought I could do it in the office but there were too many people. So I decided that me and McCray needed to visit detention with her."

McCray interrupted him "yeah and this bastard fuckin punched me as hard as he could! Even after I said not to!"

Harlow shushes him and laughs "I was getting to that..."

He looks back at Raven "my plan was originally for him to punch me.. but McCray insisted I punch him. So I did.. and yes I did punch him harder then he said to but he's alright.."Harlow laughs remembering it

He continues speaking "anyways Mrs. Glendale took us to detention and she asked us what happened and we came up with the worst ass story I have ever heard."

McCray interrupts him again "you got that right..."

Harlow looks at him "hey! Atleast I didn't bust out laughing in the first sentence! Especially after you straight up said oh I got this.."

Raven laughs "yall are so dumb.."

Harlow continues "anyways.. Mrs Glendale saw through our act and asked what we were actually doing.. so I told her. And she gave us some really amazing news.. and that's that she thinks she saw my father in one of the ghost towns.."

McCray scoffs and shakes his head he opens his mouth to speak then hesitates "no you continue the story I aint gonna ruin it."

Harlow nods "this is where it gets crazy.. so me and McCray are like so what do we do? Which eventually we decided to just go search.. we knew we wouldn't have much time in our day to plan it so we just left.. im sorry we didn't bring you Raven... but as we were looking we couldn't find him anywhere... until the very last one.." Harlow looks down and frowns "the man looked exactly like my father and at first I didn't think it was him... just some doppelganger."

Raven interrupts "was it him?.."

Harlow lifts his hand up "im getting there.."

"Anyways me and McCray talk to him and it turns out it was him... but he had taken the tonic. So he doesn't even remember anything. Which absolutely sucked. Anyways then the mother fucker knocked us out and put us in his barn! So we escaped almost breaking our damn legs.. and now.. we are here."

Raven stares at him  "we must go back!"

McCray stands up from eating his cereal "fuck no! I aint going back there, that man was probably going to kill us!"

Harlow sighs "we might have to.. but the thing is... I might have to do it alone."

McCray lifted his eyebrow "oh nevermind im coming then.."

"No you're not.. im thinking that if maybe there are less threats then he won't attack." Harlow responds

McCray folds his arms and thinks "what if we do go but me and Raven hide, like as a get away car. While you talk to him... cause Harlow.. you don't have any transportation." He nods thinking it as the greatest idea he has ever had.

Harlow sighs "I guess we could do that.."

Raven then widens her eyes and quickly speaks "shouldnt we tell Marvin?"

Harlow looks at her "No. No we should not."

Raven squints her eyes "why not?"

Harlow thinks about his fathers journal "I just think this is something we can do without him.. besides he is thinking too much about the box."

Raven tilts her head and looks down "I guess.."

McCray quickly washes his bowl then grabs his keys "well let's go then... we dont got much more time to lose."
