23.Be The One

Later that day once they get to the ghost town his father should be in, they see him brushing his horses.

McCray turns at an early turn so Anakin doesn't see them. As he stops the car he looks at Harlow "alright man.. me and Raven will chill in here or in that place right there" he points at a small building "while you talk to him.. dont die.. and figure out all you can." He pats Harlows shoulder.

Harlow smiles nervously and gets out of the car.

Raven and McCray watch Harlow walk towards the house. "I hope he don't get locked in that damn barn again... that place smelt horrible" McCray says

Raven shakes her head "I don't think he will."

As Harlow walked towards his father his heart rate rises very quickly. But he knew he had to talk to him again.

As Harlow got close enough to the man he stood there waiting for him to finish brushing his horse.

Seconds go by and Harlow got incredibly inpatient, he wanted to get this over with as quick as possible. So he cleared his throat loudly.

The man turns around seeing him "get the hell out of here."

Harlow squints his eyes "I need to speak with you... I came alone so you don't need to be worried."

The man sets the brush down "well that was a mistake.. you somehow escape my barn and come back without back up..very smart of you." He shakes his head sarcastically

Harlow smiles "believe me sir.. I am not the enemy."

The man walks closer to him "and how do I know if your lying or not?"

Harlow sees the picture that McCray showed him the previous day in his pocket. He quickly grabs it and shows him.

"Sir.. I think you already know I'm not the enemy.." Harlow says

The man stares at the picture "I dont know thats you... I dont even remember who you are.. for all I know this could be someone else."

Harlow sighs and thinks to himself this is going to be more difficult then I thought...

McCray looks at his watch "its been five minutes Harlow! Hurry up!"

Raven shushes him "dude its only been 5 minutes! He is going to need more time."

McCray groans "well then I need to go into that building. If this is going to take long then I'm turning off this air conditioner and going into that building."

Raven sighs "let's do it then. Its uncomfortable in here anyways."

McCray looks back at her "the hell you just say about my car?"

Raven shrugs "its uncomfortable.."

McCray laughs "this is the most comfortable car you'll ever be in.. in your whole life."

Raven lifts her eyebrow, smiling "I think my grandpa's truck is more comfortable then this.."

McCray squints his eyes then widens them again and shrugs "only the elite thinks this is the most comfortable car."

Raven laughs "its the other way around..."

McCray stops smiling and looks at her seriously. He then smiles and laughs.

Raven looks at him confused "what?.."

McCray quickly gets out of the car and opens Ravens door, grabbing her.
