Chapter 10

"Kodie?"

For some strange reason, I instantly look up.

"Ashton?" I copy.

"You look umm... you look really ...beautiful. I'm glad you came." He stutters whilst blushing, which causes me to blush from his compliment and awkwardness.

"Thanks, your looking quiet handsome yourself" I compliment, watching his cheeks turn a shade darker.

I'm not gonna lie. He was looking pretty good with his black skinny jeans and white button up shirt. He was looking quiet proper tonight, than his- what I've seen so far- flannels and cut up shirts that he performs in and that...

Still standing in the door way to our home, we soon realise it's time to head to the car and get to the party.

Ashton walks beside me to the car. I can see the girls giving me the eyes and wiggling their eyebrows towards Ashton and I.

Lauren was standing by the passenger side car door, but obviously went to the back seat door because she wants me to sit with Ashton at the front, after giving me 'the eyes'. I can see both Courtney and Lauren smirking at each other. Oh God.

We just about reach the car and Ashton slightly jogs up the car door I'm going to be getting in to.

Confused I continue looking. Then I realise he has opened the car door for me and has a small sheepish smile planted on his face. The girls have their mouths open and one hand across their chest from the cute gesture.

When I reach him I say "Thank you Ash, that's sweet of you" already I can feel my walls breaking down but he needs to do a lot more than open a car door to completely break these walls. One mistake and they are gonna be built straight back up.

The girls hop in the car the same time I do, closing the doors. As soon as the doors shut the girls freak out, I can barely hear any words because it is so hushed yet high pitched squeals are being released everywhere. The only words I can make out are "OMG" & "He just !" &"*Squeal*" & "Fucking cute!".

They had done all that in the time Ashton took to gently jog around to the drivers side of the car and open the door.

It did make me giggle, because as soon as Ashton opened the door they stopped straight away.

"Hey what's so funny?" He lightly giggles.

"*cough* Oh um nothing" I stutter to think of something.

*Ashton's PoV*

Oh God her giggle is cute. I wish I was the one to make her giggle.

*inner gasps* she called me Ash?!

"Hey, did you call me Ash earlier?" I ask, not being able to contain my smile.

"Oh yeah um I hope you don't mind it just slipped I er just thought people call you that?" She stuttered with her words. I could tell she was thinking of what to say because when I looked at her her face was all concentrated in thought and she kept stuttering. Adorable.

Driving down the roads that lead us to our house, where the party is, I kept on stealing glances at Kodie. She really is beautiful. I heard from Luke that she's never dated or even came close, I wonder why, I mean look at her! Who wouldn't? Maybe that's why she has her guard up all the time, but I can tell she's warming to me a bit, considering she called me Ash earlier. ☺️

*Lauren's PoV*

Why don't they just go out already? They are so cute together. I love how all the way there he would look at her, admiring her as if she meant the world to him. Now every girl wants that, wether they admit it or not. Goals af!
But she's-for some reason- got some kind of wall up not allowing herself to get close with him, even in a friendly manner. Im gonna get to the bottom of this one way or another...
