Chapter Eight

I couldn't help but think about the party last night. I knew I shouldn't have gone.. It was terrible. And for a slight second I thought Luke had liked me, just a little bit more then a friend.

But that little fuckwad had to come in all drunk and practically slobbered all over him. It was disgusting. I mean the least he could've done was told me he was in a relationship. My question is why was he going out with her?

Yeah, he was cute.. goofy.. his smile.. and those perfect eyes you got lost in everytime you looked at him.

I realized what I had been thinking and I wasn't sure where I was going with it. Just then, my phone dinged and buzzed, letting me know I got a text message.

"Ugh." I groaned, not wanting to move.

I reached over and grabbed my phone. Of course. The guy I had just been thinking about.. I could only imagine what he was going to say.

'Hey Aubrey.. I'm sorry about not telling you before hand, that I had a girlfriend.. I should've, and I regret every chance I had to tell you, but didn't. I really wish you didn't leave the party last night..'

I couldn't read on.. I wanted to know what he said, but I also didn't want to know. Being the most curious person ever, I read on.

'The party wasn't the same without you. I really hoped that it would just be me and you in the lounge, no one else. I know, this text is kind of cliche, but I needed to let you know I was sorry. But I think what's going to happen if probably going to be more cliche then this text.. Look out your window?'

And there they were. The butterflies.. I was scared to see what was outside, but again, my curiosity got the best of me and I looked outside my window.

There he was.. Standing outside with his guitar.. Yup, he was right. The most cliche thing ever.. You probably guessed it, he started singing.

I stepped outside on my balcony and looked down at him. A smile formed on my lips. I didn't want to forgive him, but I needed him.. I needed Luke back..
