Chapter Nine

He strummed the last note of the somg on his guitar and thats when I noticed I had been crying.

I ran back inside and quickly slipped on my shoes. I'm pretty sure he thought I ran off and wouldn't come back, but I did. Just from a different way.

I ran out of the front door and hugged him.

He returned the hug with a big grin on his face.

"That... That was beautiful, Luke." I commented with my face buried in his chest.

He smiled. "As beautiful as you?"

I felt a blush cover my cheeks.

"Don't you have a girlfriend?"

I was surprised when he shook his head.

"Nope."

"But what happ-"

"I told her it wasn't working out." He cut me off. "She got mad and I'm pretty sure thats the only thing that she'll talk about for a month, but yeah."

I smiled. "Oh. Why'd you go out with her in the first place? Everyone knows she's the biggest bitch in the whole school."

He just shrugged. "I don't know."

He saw me hugging myself to keep me warm and he grabbed my hand and walked inside. I took the lead and lead him upstairs.

"If we're going to be up here, we have to be quiet. My parents are sleeping in the next room over." I said.

He nodded. "I just needed to ask you something.. It's important." He said quietly.

"Yeah, anything." I replied.

"I..." He sighed. "I've always.. well.. I've always liked y-y-you.."

I felt my cheeks burn with the darkest shade of red.

"And I was wondering if... well.." He looked down and starting playing with his fingers. "If I could have the privilege of... calling you mine?"

My heartbeat accelerated and I quickly pulled him into a hug. I looked at him with my arms still wrapped around his neck. "Yes." I smiled and blushed at the same time.

"You're so cute." He said and I felt his hands land on my waist.

He pulled me closer and he looked into my eyes. I could see his eyes moving from my lips back to my eyes and he bit his lip slightly, driving me insane.

He looked back into my eyes and gently grabbed my face and slowly leaned in and thats the moment when his soft lips pressed against mine.

The butterflies returned and my heartbeat raced. I softly returned the kissed and then pulled away.

This is the last chapter. I have other books I plan on making way longer then 10 chapters. I will be writing an epilogue, but this is the last actual chapter.
