Chapter Four

I dreamt about me and Luke reuniting, but then my stupid alarm woke me up. I went to school and passed Luke in the hallway. I smiled and expected him to walk with me. Instead, he looked at me and continued to talk to his friends. I don't know why. I thought it was just because he didn't want to be rude to his friends, but it turns out it wasn't. He ignored me for two whole weeks. It was just like I didn't exist. I decided to go up to him when I saw him at the park over the weekend. "Hey." I said. "Oh, hi." He said in a more depressed tone. "Is everything okay?" I had to ask because it was bumming me out. "I have to go home. I'll... See you later." He turned and walked away without leaving me the chance to say bye. This whole thing is really bothering me. We were fine for the first couple of days and now its like we're drifting apart.. I don't like it. The next couple of days were slow and lonely. I was walking down the sidewalk and going wherever it leads me. I heard something coming from a little garage so I decided to listen. "Are we wasting time, talking on a broken line. Tellin' you I haven't see your in ages, it feels like we're as close as strangers." It sounded a lot like Lukes voice but I thought it couldn't be. I decided to sit by the garage and listen to the rest of the song. All four of them came out and I saw one of them was Luke. I gasped and then he saw me and walked over while the others walked the other way. Calum Ashton and Micheal didn't recognize me. "You were... listening?" Luke said in a quiet voice while looking down. "Yeah.. It sounded good." I said back. "Thanks," He replied. "We've been working on it.. for a couple days." I didn't want to ask this, but it was just bugging me so much, I had to. "Um, does it... by chance... have anything to do with me?" I sighed and looked down. "Uh, a little, yeah." I knew it. I still don't know what I did, but I didn't bother asking...
