MARK POV

It had been a few days since the incident with Jack. I hadn't had the confidence or heart to talk to Sarah about it, just to make sure it wasn't anything. She was still very weak - she had lost a lot of blood.

The afternoon sun peeked into the room on Thursday, showering the room with a soft yellow light. It fell upon me, who hadn't taken a nap with Sarah. I hadn't slept well since the accident. I wished it were me in the bed, rather than her. She was still pale, but when she was awake, she was all smiles and laughs. I wasn't sure if she was just masking the pain, or if she really was getting stronger.

She opened her eyes slowly and looked over at me. I gave her a smile, hoping she wouldn't see the pain behind it.

"How long have you been up?" She asked sleepily.

"Not that long." I lied. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm okay. Head hurts a little, but nothing major." She said. "Any visitors? Or just the two of us?"

"Suzy and Arin might be coming by tonight. They're playing a new group game that they wanted to get posted tonight." I said.

She nodded. "Have you posted any videos lately?"

"Small vlogs when you're resting. Mostly to inform everyone that you're okay and what all was going on. I promised them that I'd post an actual video as soon as we got you home."

"Hopefully that's soon. I don't wanna be here anymore." She seemed to pout.

I nodded. My phone went off and I checked it.

Jack: Hey, can we talk? I feel awful about what happened.
Me: I still don't know what to think.
Me: You kissed my girlfriend. I don't know if I can forgive you.
Jack: Mark, I know I fucked up. I don't know what came over me.
Me: Your penis. That's what.
Jack: Mark, please. You're my best friend. I'm so fucking sorry. I promise it'll never happen again.
Jack: What do I have to do to get you to trust me again?
Me: Leave me the fuck alone.

I sighed, annoyed by the Irish man. I tossed my phone on the table next to me and ran a hand through my hair. I hadn't showered in days, so I imagined that my hair looked like Sarah's, greasy. I pinched the bridge of my nose.

"Everything okay?" Sarah asked. I looked up at her, her blue eyes filled with concern. Damn her for being stunning even while in a hospital bed.

"It's fine." I said, looking away from her. I really didn't want to get into this discussion because I knew it was going to get heated.

"Mark..."

I looked back at her and sighed. Here goes our relationship.

"Remember the last time Jack came over?"

"Yeah..?" She raised an eyebrow. "We played Prop Hunt and Murder, right?" I nodded.

"And you know how I had stepped out because I had gotten a call from Cyndago?" She nodded. "Well, someone was filming you and he during that little intermission and then posted it online. Your kiss is viral."

She paled even more so, which I didn't think was possible.

"Mark. Oh, my God. I swear it wasn't consensual. I pushed him away and slapped him. I told him that I was in love with you and nothing was going to change that." She said. Her hand was off the bed, seeming to be reaching out to me.

"I didn't know what to believe. Suzy found it the other day and I went off on Jack. He left and we haven't talked since a few minutes ago, which is why I'm bringing this up." I sighed.

"Mark, come here." She said softly. I walked over. She took my hands in hers and looked up at me with those startling blue eyes. "I love you and only you. No one else could ever do."

I leaned down and kissed her softly but passionately. She ran her fingers through my hair. We separated, only our foreheads touching.

"You are my everything." I whispered. I realized I had tears in my eyes.

"And you are my sunshine on a cloudy day. My muse. My soul mate. I love you."

"I love you, too." We kissed again. Everything was going to be okay. Hopefully.

I grabbed my phone and texted Jack.

Me: I'm sorry. I overreacted. Mind coming by?
Jack: Sure. Be there in hand an hour.
Me: Bring food.
Jack: Will do.

I pocketed my phone. Sarah motioned for me to sit with her, which I did. I wrapped my arm around her. She placed her head on my chest.

"How did someone film us?" She asked after a few moments.

"They were across the street, up in another apartment. They saw you through the windoe." I said, running my hand through my hair again.

"Oh." She said shortly. She looked up at me, her blue irises seeming to glow. She seemed to be looking me over, as I looked over at her.

"You didn't sleep, did you?" She asked quietly. I shook my head slightly. She sighed. "You need to sleep."

"I'm fine, Sarah." I said. Wasn't a total lie. Sure, I was exhausted but I was fine.

"Mark. I see the bags under your eyes. You haven't slept in days. You're fidgety. You need to sleep." She said with a scowl on her face.

I sighed, giving in.

"Okay, fine. Wake me when Jack gets here." I said, cuddling her closer to me and closing my eyes. I fell asleep instantly.
