MARK POV

After a few hours of playing, we decided to call it quits. Sarah said she would edit, since she didn't get to do it earlier. When Ozzy asked her about it she just said that she had gotten tired and asked me to do it.

I walked Ozzy and Jack down to the ground floor.

"Hey, Oz?" I asked.

"Yeah, Mark?" They turned.

"Do you mind going with me to get a ring for Sarah? You know her the best." Why was I so awkward with words?

"Yeah, man. Did you wanna go now? Or like tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow would be better. I need this one tonight." Jack said, lacing his fingers with Ozzy, who blushed intensely.

I didn't know what to do. I just nodded and hightailed it out of there. I opened the door to our apartment and found Sarah curled up in a ball on the couch.

Shit.

I rushed to her, taking her in my arms.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Nothing..I just..." She trailed off. I frowned. She didn't need to explain anymore. She had told me that her depression was like that. She just didn't have any motivation to do anything that she loved.

"I'm sorry, honey." I kissed her head. I played music from the stereo and we just sat there for the rest of the evening.

The next morning, I woke up early. I made Sarah some eggs and bacon and left a note.

'Hey. I went out with Ozzy for a few hours. They wanted help with a surprise for Jack. I'll be back soon. I love you.'

I headed downstairs. Ozzy was already parked out front waiting. I climbed into the front seat. They had some band blasting in the radio.

"What the hell is this?" I asked turning it down so it wasn't so deafening

"Mark, say hello to Fall Out Boy." Ozzy laughed. I rolled my eyes.

We pulled up to the mall. We strolled around, trying to find the best place to get a ring. We saw an International Diamond Center and went in.

"Hello. How may I help you?" A man asked.

"Oh, I'm looking for a ring." I said.

"Wonderful! Come this way!" He said, bouncing away. Ozzy and I followed him. He showed us a bunch of rings.

"Is it for this your friend here?" He asked.

"What? No, Oz is just my friend." We both blushed. That's awkward.

"My mistake, sir." He pulled out a ring. "How about this one?"

It looked beautiful. But it didn't scream Sarah. I shook my head.

"Okay. Is there something in particular you're looking for?" He asked.
