An alarm wakes me up out of my sleep, making me sit up with a scowl as I reach for my phone on my nightstand but it's not mine that's going off.

I turn my head when the alarm stops to the left to Vinnie whos sitting up on the edge of the bed.

He glances back at me over his shoulder and when he sees me looking, he turns towards me. "Sorry." He quietly apologizes. He tucks a strand of my hair behind my ear, "Go back to sleep."

"Are you leaving?" I ask and he nods his head at me.

"I'll make sure to lock up." He slides his thumb across my cheek, "Thanks for letting me stay."

"Thank you for staying with me." I turn my head and kiss his palm.

He pulls his hand away from me, the warmth leaving for a second but it returns when he comes down to my level and kisses my lips.

Well I'm wide awake now.

I cup his face and kiss him passionately until we break apart.

He kisses the top of my head and pulls away completely. "I'll text you."

I nod my head and settle back into my bed, "Okay."

Eventually Vinnie leaves the room, and I start to drift off when I hear the front door open and shut. I blink open my eyes for a only a second before I settle back into sleep.

I sleep for another four hours until I'm woken up to the sound of my phone dinging continuously. I sit up and grab it off the nightstand with a huff.

Craigy boy: dude

Craigy boy: I need you to text me in the next half hour

1 missed call from Craigy Boy.

Craigy boy: Juniper

Craigy boy: pls I need you to watch Melanie

Craigy boy: wake up

J: Dude I was sleeping. I told you I'd watch her

J: I'm up

Craigy boy: can I drop her off early?

Craigy boy: she won't stop asking to go over

J: sure

Craigy boy: okay we'll be there in ten

I sigh and move my hair out of my face, exiting the conversation to go into a new one.

Vee🤠: Thanks for letting me stay

J: anytime

Vee🤠: you're finally up?

J: yea.
