11:17 pmJune
I press on the gas lightly, my car rolling up my moms driveway with ease.
In the middle of Santa Monica suburbia is where my momma lives.. I love only a short distance away from her so it's not like I'm going out of my way for her.
I like helping her out anyways.
Well most of the time...
I turn on the radio, the soft tunes playing while I lay my foot on the brake to stop my car from moving. I shift the gear into park and look up at my moms house, wondering where Sabrina is.
She always does this to me.
I press on my steering wheel lightly and lean back in my seat, glancing at my side mirror with a bob of my head.
"When these people talk too much, put that shit in slow motion, yeah." The song plays through my car and I look up to my moms house to honk the horn again.
This song isn't half as bad as everyone says.
"What you know about rollin' down in the deep?"
I smack my radio with a frown on my face, turning it off swiftly.
Never fucking mind.
The front door swings open and my younger sister bounds out of the house with a bag on her arm. She closes the front door and runs out across the yard to me, her curly hair ties up into a knot on the top of her head.
I unlock my car doors and she throws open the passenger door, leaning down to yell at me.
"Why do you honk your horn at me?! You know I'm coming!" She throws her bag into the back seat and climbs in. "Jesus."
"I texted you and told you to be at the door, I have plans." I respond to her and she huffs while struggling to slide into the seat.
My sister scoffs, slamming my door shut, "Yea right."
I glare at her, "What's that supposed to mean?"
She rolls her eyes and puts her hand up to block my face, "Just take me to Lauren's."
I roll my eyes and back up my car, "Im not your chauffeur."
"Trust me I wouldn't be here if I didn't have to be." She responds while pulling her iPhone from her pocket.
I narrow my eyes at her, "Youre the one who crashed your car." I remind her and glance back behind me to make sure there's no cars coming before I pull out into the street. "Will you put my phone up on the dashboard please?"
Sabrina looks around, "Where is it- oh." She grabs my phone from the cup holder but holds onto it, staring down at my screen.
"You like it?" I ask her about my Lock Screen with a smile, "My friend made it for me."
"Not really. It's kind of bad."
I throw a glare her way and snatch my phone from her grip. I put it up on my dashboard myself and sigh out heavily.
She's so mean for no reason whatsoever.
I drive silently, taking her to her destination up until she makes a smart comment again.
"Who's texting you on Twitter? Someone that's being paid to?"
"Sabrina please, could you at least try to be nice to me? Seriously?" I slump my shoulders, "I'm tired and you're not making my day any better."
"Whatever."
We go quiet again, and I silently wish that my sister was half way decent and not an asshole.
She's been this way ever since shit hit the fan with dad. Sabrinas been so angry and resentful towards me, even though I try so hard to be as nice as I can possibly be to her.
I'll keep trying though.
I try again, "I started talking to someone online. His name is Vee, he's really nice." She doesn't say anything, so I go on, "Not talking talking but like... as friends. That's who texted me."
She turns her head away from me, completely ignoring me now so I twist a piece of my curly hair around my finger and sigh.
"Okay, what now?"
"Mom says if I don't have anything nice to say- don't say anything at all."
I deadpan, glancing at her with a huff, "Since when do you listen to mom?"
She turns her head toward me, finally breaking out a small smile. "Yea I guess you're right... so since when did you become less of an internet hermit?"
I roll my eyes and push her shoulder, "Just recently Asshole. I still don't have any personal social media."
"You could always just put it on private, so no strangers see it." She points out but I shrug my shoulders. "You just like being a ghost huh?"
"Pfft, no." I shake my head, "This isn't some mystery incorporated shit. I literally just don't want to talk to new people."
"I like talking to random people." Sabrina tells me while she reaches into the back seat to retrieve her bag, since we're pulling up to her friends house.
I frown, fear suddenly stippling through ny chest. "That's not funny Sabby."
She gives me a mischievous grin while I pull into her friends driveway. "Never said I was joking."
"Please stop doing that. It's dangerous okay?" I tell her sincerely. "Some old creeper who's got photos of little kids- minors on his walls could be pretending to be your friend and-"
She rolls her eyes at me, "I know internet safety- and I'm not an idiot."
"I'm not either." I fire back at her, "I'm serious Sabrina, don't meet up with anyone either, you could get hurt."
She doesn't wait for my car to be fully stopped before she pops open my door, giving me a nasty look, "Like I said- I'm not an idiot."
She climbs out of my car and I watch her go. She walks up to her friends front porch and the door swings open almost as soon as she steps foot on it.
I watch her friend come out onto the porch to back out of the driveway, my heart heavy a bit.
Why does she hate me so much?
My phone buzzes in its phone stand on my dashboard so I decide to pull onto the side of the street to read the message and respond back.

I know some of you probably noticed this but a few chapters sound different from the others. 1,3, and this one. That would be because Wattpad glitched out while I was deleting some alternative chapters that I had written, it actually deleted those instead. I'm so upset about it but there's nothing I can do so I had to sloppily put together three new chapters.
I know it sucks and trust me- I'm so upset about it but please bare with me. I also lost 20 reads by the chapters deleting, and the votes so please, if you haven't already, vote for these chapters.
Thank you for reading and putting up with my bullshit.
