29. Regale

[Sunghoon POV]

I was all alone at my house after Y/N and Yeji went to the mall. Yeji told me that mom and dad would come in the afternoon, so I waited for them in the living room and at exactly 5 o'clock both of them had arrived. When I opened the door, my mom quickly hugged me and I hugged her back but still with no emotion on my face.

Mom: Are you alright, dear?

Sunghoon: Yes. (With cold tone)

Dad: Stop being so cold toward your own parents.

Mom: Stop it and let's talk in the living room.

We walked together to the living room and sat down. At first, neither mom nor dad talked, they just stayed silent. Later, my dad began to bring up the topic.

Dad: There's something I want to tell you.

Sunghoon: (Looked at him) Go ahead.

Mom: But please don't cut our sentences if we are still talking.

I just nodded my head and signaled them to continue.

Dad: You're going to graduate next week, right?

Sunghoon: So?

Dad: As you've known, you're the only heir of our company, so our intention to come here is we want you to continue our company.

Sunghoon: But I haven't gone to university yet.

Dad: We are going to send you to the USA to continue your study there and after that, you'll return and handle the company.

Sunghoon: (Widen his eyes and stood up) WHAT!?

Mom: (Held his hand and made him sat) Please, listen to us first.

Dad: This's the best decision for you and our company.

Sunghoon: But I can't.

Mom: Why?

Sunghoon: Just can't. I still have my career as a national ice skater.

Mom: We want you to retire from it and focus on our company.

Dad: That's true and we're planning to marry you with Sana, the daughter of S company.

Sunghoon: WHAT!? I don't want with her.

Dad: But it's in the interests of our company.

Sunghoon: I will do whatever you guys told me to do but not with marrying Sana.

Mom: Why?

Sunghoon: Because I don't like her and I like someone else.

Dad: Who? Then introduce us to her.

Sunghoon: Not the right time yet.

Dad: Then marry Sana.

Sunghoon: NO!! (Yelled)

Then I ran out of my house without caring what my parents said. I ran to the nearest park. I always went there whenever I felt stressed, sorrowed, mad, or just to be relaxed.

[Y/N POV]

When I arrived at his house, I saw Sunghoon ran away from his parents while his parents shouted something but he didn't care and kept running. I was so worried about him, so I followed him from behind. I followed him silently until he arrived at the park in which there weren't too many people there. I saw Sunghoon sat alone on the bench while looking at the sky with a blank stare. I approached him and sat beside him.

Y/N: Can I sit here?

Sunghoon: (Without looking at her) Sure.

We didn't say anything but I saw his tears escaped from his beautiful eyes, so I held his hand.

Y/N: (Looked at him while holding his hand) You know, I always there for you, so feel free to talk with me. I will listen to all your concerns. (Smiled)

Sunghoon didn't say anything, instead, he just looked at me while smiling a bit and rest his head on my shoulder, at first, I was surprised by his action but I let him be. I still held his hand while caressing it.

Sunghoon: (Looked at the sky) Will you always stay by my side?

Y/N: Of course. What made you think I will leave you?

Sunghoon: Even what will happen with me?

Y/N: Yes... why?

Sunghoon: My dad told me that I have to retire from being an ice skater. What should I do?

Y/N: It must be hard for you but I had felt the same when my doctor and my parents asked me to retire from my career as a national swimmer.

Sunghoon: (Shocked) So, you're the national former swimmer?

Y/N: Yes, but believe me behind all this thing, there must be good things that you will get, your parents must have thought this carefully before asking you.

Sunghoon: Are you sure?

Y/N: Yes... don't be sad. I will always there for you.

Sunghoon: Will you come with me if I ask you to?

Y/N: Um.... If that can make you feel better, then I will come with you. (Smiled)

Sunghoon: Really? (Lifted his head and looked at Y/N directly to her eyes)

I just nodded and smiled at him. I saw he smiled a bit but the tears still escaped from his eyes, hence I quickly wiped it with my finger.

Y/N: Please, stop crying, my ice prince. (Smiled) if you cry I will cry as well.

I heard him chuckled and stopped crying, then he held both of my hands before saying something.

Sunghoon: Are you serious with your words??

Y/N: Do I look like I'm playing right now?? no... I'm serious with all my words.

Then he suddenly hugged me and I hugged him back while patting his back.

Sunghoon: Thank you, Y/N for always being there for me.

Y/N: It's alright, are you feeling better now?

Sunghoon: Slightly better.

Y/N: Shall we go home?? I will cook your favorite meal.

Sunghoon: Will you make my favorite steak?

Y/N: Anything to make my ice prince happy again.

Sunghoon: Then let's go.

Then Sunghoon Stood up and intertwined our hands while walking back to his house.
