18. Things I Don't Want to Hear

[Y/N POV]

He brought me to the Han river, it was a peaceful night at Han river, there were not a lot of people there and there was Jay and I savoring the beautiful night view of the Han river. Jay remained silent for some moments until he sighed before facing me.

Y/N: What's wrong?? You know, you can always talk to me. (Held his shoulder)

Jay: Idk anymore, Y/N. (Looked down)

Y/N: Hey... look at me. we have promised each other that we won't hide anything behind each other, so you free to tell me everything and I'm here to listen to all your laments.

Jay: (Took a deep breath) I'm not good enough for you, Y/N.

Y/N: (Frowned her brows) What do you mean?? I don't understand.

Jay: I'm sorry, Y/N but I think we should break up.

Y/N: (Shocked) B...b...but why?? (Stuttered)

Jay didn't say anything but instead turned his gaze to the Han river.

Y/N: (With teary eyes) Jay.... Park Jongseong.... Look at me. I thought we love each other......

Jay: (Looked at her with teary eyes) I did.... But I cannot continue this anymore, Y/N. please understand me.

Y/N: (Yelled) But how??? How I can understand you if you didn't tell me the reason why you want to break up. (Burst into tears)

Jay stayed silent again while I was crying like a crazy girl.

[Author POV]

Y/N was crying like a mess while Jay didn't say anything, after some dead silent moments, Y/N finally had done with him and started to talk with him again.

Y/N: I don't know what had happened to you today but I've noticed that you acted weird today and now I've found the answer behind your weird behavior. I just want to know the reason why do you want to break up. Please, answer me.

Jay: If you really want to know the answer then I'll give you the answer. I don't love you anymore.

Y/N: Why??? Why??? (Grabbed his collar) I thought you love me the way I'm but I think I was totally wrong. I've fallen for you every single day but you.... You just throw me away like trash. I shouldn't have trusted you in the first place. if that what you want then let's break up, I'm done with you. (Still crying and took off the bracelet)

Jay: (Held Y/N's wrist) Don't.... please just take that bracelet as my last gift for you.... (held his tears)

Y/N: I hope you'll find someone better than me. I just want you to know that I still love you and I'll always support you regardless of what had happened to us. (Took a deep breath) I'll take my leave now. thank you for the past wonderful year, Jay. I've been learning many things from you, and thank you so much for helping me whenever I need someone's help. (Walked away)

Jay: (Held her wrist) Let me drive you home.

Y/N: (Let go of his hand) No need... I'll go home by myself. Take care, Jay.

With that Y/N left Jay alone there and went home by a bus while crying because she still loved Jay but she still didn't know why Jay broke up with her and little did she know that deep inside Jay's heart he still had the same feeling with her but he has his own reason why he wanted to break up but he couldn't tell her.

[Jay POV]

After Y/N left me alone, I let go of all my tears that I couldn't hold anymore. I still loved her but I had my own reason why I broke up with her, I hope someday I can explain to her. It was the hardest decision I have ever made in my life and I wished I didn't have to make this decision. I knew I'll regret this but that was the best for both of us and I hope she will find someone who can love her for the rest of her life. She would be my first and my last love, no one could replace her in my heart....
