"Let the battle begin," Nanu announced the start of the battle.

"Alakazam, use Future Sight," Faba called the first move as Alakazam used Future Sight that would hit its target later.

"Use Quiver Dance," Ash said calmly.

"Now, use Shadow Ball." Alakazam launched the ghost-type move at its opponent.

"Dodge and use Quiver Dance," Ash called the same move again as his Pokemon increased its speed, special attack & defence.

"Use Psychic." Faba was getting worried as Ash's Pokemon had already enhanced its speed, attack, and defence twice now. It was not intimidating at all to look at, but this was one of the oldest Pokemon of the Champion. Ash's calm demeanour was not helping Faba.

"Use Quiver Dance and take it." Ash gave the instructions as his Pokemon successfully used Quiver Dance again before getting hit by the Psychic. Alakazam's eyes glowed light purple and then it moved its opponent around, throwing it on the ground but it didn't cause much damage.

"Now, use Psychic again." Alakazam used Psychic again.

"Fly up and use Bug Buzz," Ash called the move as his Pokemon flew up avoiding the psychic-type attack. It then used Bug Buzz on the whole battlefield as Alakazam winced under the effects of the super-effective move. Ash immediately called the next move to get an upper hand. "Now use Sleep Powder."

"Alakazam, use Teleport." The Sleep Powder missed as Alakazam teleported from its spot to appear behind Butterfree. But Ash was not fooled by it. He had countered such situations numerous times and knew exactly what to do.

"Butterfree, look back and use Hurricane." Butterfree turned quickly and wrapped its opponent in a fierce wind.

"Alakazam, use Teleport to get out of there." Alakazam managed to get out of the powerful attack but was vulnerable to the next move.

"On your left, use String Shot." The String Shot hit its mark as Alakazam got tied up, unable to move.

"Alakazam, use Psychic to get the strings off of you."

"Use Bug Buzz and get in close," Ash called the next attack as Alakazam was trying to get out of the strings. The attack hit its mark but not for a long time.

"Use Teleport again." Alakazam felt a lot of pain before it teleported again. Ash realised that close-in attacks were going to get cut off by Teleport. So, he used a different strategy.

"Fly up and use Bug Buzz on the whole battlefield." This time the whole battlefield was covered with the bug-type attack and Alakazam had nowhere to flee. With the highly enhanced attack power of Butterfree, the moved affected the Psi Pokemon critically as it fell on the ground. "End this with Signal Beam." Another super-effective move hit its target as Alakazam fainted.

"Alakazam is unable to battle. Butterfree wins. So, the winner of the match is Ash Ketchum." Nanu declared.

"Thank you, Butterfree. You were awesome. Take a good rest, buddy." Ash thanked his Pokemon and recalled it to its Pokeball. Faba also returned Alakazam to its Pokeball. Both trainers shook their hands and returned to the arena.
