Yuna was helping your mom pack some side dishes in the kitchen as you and Jungkook cleaned up the table. He was studying your every move as you were wiping down the table. You quickly glanced at him and then hurried on your way to the kitchen. You don't know why you said you'd talk to Jungkook later. What were you going to say exactly? Were you really going to continue whatever it was that you were doing?

Everyone expressed their gratitude for the delicious meal and said their goodbyes to your mom. You mom pulled you aside making sure you would go on that date with Jin.

"I'll try."

"Try harder." She muttered through clenched teeth as Jungkook and Yuna were staring at the two of you, getting ready to leave.

"I love you mom." You said in a sing-song voice, knowing fully well that her love was conditional.

"I'll love you if you go on the date. Bye." She said as she closed the door on you.

You closed your eyes and sighed. Now, you had to face another conversation you didn't want to have but needed to. The three of you walked to the elevator and hopped in.

Yuna linked her arm to yours. "Should I set up that date with Jin?"

"Um, I don't know. Maybe." You said as you surveyed Jungkook to see if he would respond to your answer. But nothing, he was busy scrolling through his phone.

She tapped Jungkook on the shoulder. "Kookie, don't you think Y/n and Jin would make a cute couple?"

At this point, you wanted to crawl into a hole and never come out. Dinner was embarrassing. You wish you had some kind of magic powers to rewind every single regret you've ever had in your life. The ability to start over and make different choices, one could only dream.

"Hmm...Jin-hyung? He's a good guy." He didn't bother to look up from his phone, which offended you a little. What could he really say to his own sister? It's not like he could say, "Noona, I want to date your best friend."

You weren't even sure what the kiss meant. Maybe he just wants to mess around. Maybe he's not looking for anything serious. You definitely weren't looking or anything serious, you just got out of a relationship. Maybe he could just be a fun fling...but with your best friend's little brother?

"Okay, it's done! I texted him."

Your eyes widened. "Wha--huh? You texted him already?"

She shook her head, "I'll let you know what he says."

Oh, dear God. What are you getting yourself into? You could not get involved with another person. You still needed to figure out this whole Jungkook thing.

"Namjoon's waiting for me at home. See you guys. Bye!" She waved as she rushed off to her car, leaving you and Jungkook alone in the parking garage.

He stood with his hands in his pockets. "So...should I take you home?"

--

It was a quiet car ride. You were unsure if you should say something or try to ignore your feelings altogether. You caught yourself ogling him as he gripped the steering wheel, wondering what those hands could do, then caught yourself and snapped out of it. He softly chuckled as he reached for your hand. You pretended to scratch your head, not letting him do what he intended.

He parked in a spot and turned off the car, waiting for you to say something. "You said you wanted to talk?"

"Maybe we should talk in my apartment." You stopped yourself and thought maybe that was a bad idea, because one thing could lead to another and well, you know the rest. "Wait–" But he already stepped out of the car. He came to your side to open the door for you. You stepped out and closed it. "Maybe this is a bad idea."
