"The saddest love is to love someone, to know that they still want you but the circumstances don't let you have them."

He stood back watching as she expertly retied the Sari he had ripped off moments ago, as he pushed his shoulders into his shirt, the trial of his abs still exposed as he walked over to her again, his hands encircling her waist before allowing her to lean her weight against his.

"What's wrong?" He found himself asking his one hand moving to push her hair away from her neck so he could inhale her scent before she pushed him away. Because it was a move that he had begun to anticipate. For, she had made that move one too many times, making herself predictable and therefore vulnerable in the designated kings eyes.

"Why did you come?" She finally spoke, her voice uncharacteristically soft towards him.

"I came for something." He had come to apologise.

"What for your daily fuck?"

"You weren't complaining a moment ago."

She remained silent, his hand moving to her waist before pulling her to face him.

"Raghav-"

"If you're going to say the same crap you said last time Pallavi I am going to warn you not too, because that is the quickest way for my mood to go south-"

"Temperamental." She muttered under her breath.

She looked back up at him.

"Raghav I can't-" his lips pressed against hers, before he moved away slightly.

"Do you need me to put you back on that desk to show you that you can?"

She looked away from him.

"Tell me the truth Pallavi what is this really about? Because I do not understand what is going on with you. One moment your at my mercy and the other your adamant to deny this-"

"I've had my fill." She uttered breathlessly.

"Lies." He punched back.

"Because if that was true for a moment you wouldn't have allowed me to have you the way you just did."

"We are enemies." She responded weakly.

He chuckled, "Yes we are love."

Her eyes soared into his.

And he saw it. What she wanted to hide. The hope...

And in the next moment he squashed it with his words.

"Yes we are enemies Ms Deshmukh, and therefore you will only ever be a number on the long list of women that I have fucked."

She tore her eyes from his, forcing a breath into her now constricting lungs, pleading with her eyes not to tear up the way they were beginning to be.

So she then channelled that hurt into anger, forcing his chest back with such a force that had Hyderabad's Don stumbling back. His head jerked to fix his eyes on hers.

"And so what Mr Rao, was that just a sadistic move of yours to remind me of my place."

He chuckled forcing his hands into his pockets before continuing.

"Every move I've been playing this past week and a bit is to remind you of that Ms Deshmukh." She let out a bitter laugh, his smirk falling as did.

She whirled around effortlessly, the dancer in her veins being visualised, but to him she looked like nothing but a beautiful storm.

"So you should have no problem in letting me go."

His slip of composure was quickly masked as he took a step forward.

"Tell me Ms Deshmukh do you remember what I said to you when I had you tied to a chair on a busy road?"

He watched her eyes widen in fear, her steps taking her back from his proximity until she herself had her back pressed against the only bare wall in the shop.

"It's okay if you don't Ms Deshmukh I will be more than happy to remind you."

He took a step forward, his hand now resting near her head as he leaned down slightly.

"I told you that enmity with means opening the gates to hell. I had given you away out, a way to escape but you had refused and in doing so you gave me the foundation to destroy you in anyway I deem fit for what you did along side that woman-"

"I didn't do anything."

"So you keep saying. But this is your form of punishment Ms Deshmukh, and so I will let you go only when I know that you  are no longer able to stand back up. I will give you that freedom from my shadow only when I think the punishment is apt and you have recognised the mistake you made of ever looking me in the eyes the way you did."

He leaned down, planting another kiss to her now parted lips before pushing  himself away from her., his towering form turning away to leave.

"How can you live with yourself by doing this?" She found herself speak. Another direct challenge to his words.

"The same way you are able to live with yourself knowing that you're sleeping with me."

"I can see why your mother and sister want nothing to do with you. You're despicable..."

Just like a storm being unleashed he turned back to her, his fist landing into the wall next to her head, where his palm had just been resting.

Her eyes however remained unblinking, despite the fear edged within them.

"Do not make the mistake of bringing the names of my family to your lips Ms Deshmukh the consequences will not be good."

She laughed pushing him back, whilst pushing back the sudden caring nature that had awoken at the sight of his now bruised knuckles.

"The same way you bring mine to yours? It isn't nice is it Mr Rao when the shoe is on the other foot. I warned you once and I will warn you again to watch yourself, if the only way you'll learn is by watching your family be hurt than that to will happen in accordance to gods will. Everything you do will come back to you one way or another and I will tell you this once again, I will not be getting back into your bed again, nor will I be at your mercy on any other fucking surface. You want this to stay as enemies I will oblige. Now get the fuck out of my shop."

His anger knew no bounds, his fists tightly clenched as he glared at her before turning and forcing the squeaky shutter up with force before turning around the corner.

Only then did Pallavi allow herself to slip down the same wall that she was leaning against, a trail of tears slipping down simultaneously.
