"If it is real it will hurt like hell..."
Raghav awoke from another sleepless night, his hazy eyes moving over to the side of the bed she was prone to occupy during their ravenous adventures; his hand moving out to caress the length of it; before moving slightly to face it. The lingering scent he had become accustomed to no longer carried any weight in the depths of his room, the light make up stains that were prone to litter his sheets, no longer being found against his crisp white sheets; and he couldn't help the suffocation that spread through him at the mere thought of it.
He had pulled himself up, preparing himself for his day, pulling a dark black blazer over his white shirt, that he could remember a handful of occasions in which she had stripped him out of the said clothing. A soft curse escaping the beast as he rubbed a hand over his tired features, before moving to fix his watch against his left wrist.
Farhad had entered with his glare pointed but expression grim as Raghav continued to push his cuff links through the cuffs of his white shirt.
"Did you look into what I asked you too?"
"I thought you didn't care about her?"
"I didn't ask you to answer my question with another question."
Raghav turned to Farhad.
"I won't have her death on my head. Last night emotions were running high yes, but that speeding car was looming in the area for far too long, hell it came back for round two and like a fool she even stepped forth to accept death callously."
"Have you given it a thought as to why she did that in the first place. Have you considered that the reason she was inviting death was because of your actions." Farhad hurled back.
Raghav ignored his words continuing.
" I already have the burden of my father and brothers death on my shoulders I won't have hers as well not until I'm sure I'm not the one responsible for the person who is after her."
"And yet she doesn't mean anything too you."
"Farhad." He warned, his voice dripping huskily.
"It was Ved."
Raghav's fists clenched.
"Have you found him yet?"
"He ditched the car some miles out. We have scouted the area and there are no hints as to where the hell he is. He's gone off the radar yet again."
"Well then get him back on it. I want him behind bars again before he does any damage."
"We're working on it." Farhad confirmed as Raghav nodded in affirmative.
"The moment you have something let me know. I have a few meetings but I'll be going to see Amma and Keerti later, so block out my schedule from 5PM onwards."
"Of course Anna."
With his final command Raghav had left the scene to attend to his work; the thought of her still very much playing on his mind.
Pallavi across the city; forced herself up, her eyes heavy from the lack of sleep yet shinning from the tears she had cried during the awaking hours of the night; under the watchful protection of the moonlight.
You could see it in the void of her usual vibrant eyes that she was barely hanging on, trying desperately to hold onto the edge of abyss that she had found herself being pushed into by the one her heart had sung to be hers; the ache that she had begged to settle was still very much throbbing in the depths of her heart, as she attempted to settle against the sheets; willing her eyes to close but sighing again when they shot open with thoughts of him. She had fruitlessly been attempting this for hours; and with the ache spreading to her head, a tear slipped out from the corner of her left eye because she wanted nothing more but to just sleep. The exhaustion that had flooded her body; was like a never ending tide that she was suffering against, the weight of the memorise she shared off him drowning her further.
