Y/n POV
I woke up and peered over at the window for any indication of what time it could be, the moon sat just past the middle of the sky 'It's probably around midnight' I told myself as I snuggled into Callahan's chest. I felt his grip around me get slightly tighter as I moved but I soon heard snores coming from him, but also random words or sentences as I tried to sleep.
"No you can't go there" He said randomly, I looked at him, still asleep. It was quiet for a bit until a whisper "I like you y/n". I froze, butterflies flipped in my stomach as I pretended to be asleep. But I couldn't stop thinking about what he said, 'he's just asleep, he didn't mean it' I thought before I fell asleep.
Callahan's POV
I waited for any sign of a response but nothing, maybe they already fell asleep. I brushed it off as the butterflies in my stomach calmed and finally let me sleep.
I was woken up by y/n shaking me "Come on, I wanna go to Niki's bakery while everything is fresh" they said with a huge smile and practically pulled me out of the bed.
They linked our index fingers together as we walked towards the bakery, which wasn't to far away but the smell of bread and other baked goods filled the air.
"George told me her bread is very good, so I wanted to try it" y/n smiled, still leading the way to the building. And we were soon welcomed by a calm voice. "Y/n! George told me he'd tell you about the bakery, I'm glad you finally came, here's a menu" Niki said as she rushed around the small building. It was very warm and smelt amazing, the walls were covered in white paint but had posters and flags on it, and the floors were made of dark oak that complimented the rest of the place very nicely.
"Callahan, do you want anything?" Y/n asked as we walked towards a empty table, I shook my head in response "okay but I'm gonna make you try the bread" they laughed and called Niki over to order.
"I never knew you talked in your sleep" they started after Niki left "It was funny" they smiled 'what did I say?" I signed, pretending like I wasn't awake during it, "You just said 'you can't go there' and I was really confused" they laughed, making me laugh 'is that it?' I signed, seeing if they'd tell me about the other thing.
"Yeah, if you said anything else, I was asleep" They said as they figetted with their hands 'so they were asleep' I thought to myself as Niki brought a fresh loaf a bread out and some cookies with a warm smile.
