☆ Chapter 10 ☆

Y/n POV

The music was soon silenced by our laughter as Callahan wrapped both his arms around my waist and span around for a minute or two before bringing me back onto the ground. I flopped onto the ground, letting myself catch my breath as my head leaned against the hardwood floor.

I can't even remember a time I had laughed that hard. Callahan soon lay down next to me and stared at the roof as I did. "Oh right drinks" I said as I got up and walked back into the kitchen. I came back a few minutes later with the cups in my hands and gave one to him. We sat in a comfortable silence with our drinks, not wanting to tickle each other incase we spilt the hot liquid on ourselves. "Callahan?" I said and he looked over "I really like when your here" I smiled and took another sip from my near empty cup.

Callahan POV

How do I even react? I sat there for a bit before smiling back at them. Just hearing that sentence come from them made my stomach burst with butterflies, and they didn't even realize.

I sat and thought 'I want to do this today' I said to myself. We finished our drinks after a bit and y/n asked if I wanted to watch a movie with them. I sat on the couch as they flicked through the movies "Oh this one" they said, I looked up at the screen 'Last Christmas' it looked good so I nodded.

Before the movie began I went to grab a blanket from the closet and sat back down on the side of the couch closest to the lit fireplace. "Hey that's no fair, share some with me" y/n said as they tugged on the blanket and realized it wasn't that big so they decided to move closer. I could feel their body warmth as I heard the movie start, but I didn't look up at the screen, I just kept my eyes on them.

Y/n POV

The movie began and I watched as some kids popped up, they were singing, but I felt like something or someone was looking at me. I looked around then finally looked up at Callahan, there he was, looking at me. I felt embarrassed but continued to study the features of his face or at least the parts I could see before I whispered "Hi" he smiled "Hi" he whispered back, his voice was raspy and it didn't fit his face at all.

We sat there in silence just looking at each other as the movie played. I didn't know why I found his face so fascinating, but I liked the mystery of not being able to see it completely. I smiled a bit and so did he before he let out a small sigh "Y/n?" He said with a small whisper, hummed in response "Can I kiss you?" The words left his mouth and my face immediately began to burn, I nodded my head and he cupped his hands on my cheeks and brought his face closer until it was inches away, but stopped moving there. We sat there for a bit before I spoke "Nervous?" "No I'm just admiring you" he said with a small smile before asking again if it was okay to kiss me.

We sat for a bit as I felt his hands warm around my face, he smiled and pulled me a closer so our lips hit and I swear a heard fireworks go off in the background.
